Really Sorry for the late update!

Prem's POV

I clicked the door of our room open, exhausted from a long meeting which was supposed to end in twenty minutes but instead lasted for two hours.

Discarding my coat on the couch, I took slow steps towards our bed avoiding creating any noise that would disturb my dear wife's precious slumber.

My heart warms up at the sight of our little angle nestled up at her mother's embrace.

I smile shaking my head, covering Preeti with the blanket properly which trailed off the bed. I peck her forehead sitting beside her. This has become our routine when either of us is late at night due to work.

I flickered my fingers over Preeti's cheek softly who was sleeping tired, for sure my little one would have kept her on her toes throughout the day. She has started crawling and is giving us a hard time.

It is rightly said Home is not a place it is a person and for me they are my home, my comfort place.

We rightly named her 'Hrida' (meaning heart). Indeed she has captured all of our hearts. Her big button eyes like her mother, soft spongy cheeks that I kiss a zillion times in a day and the kind of love that she has got into our lives is something I fall short to describe in words.

I get up to change and freshen up, too keen to hold my wife and daughter close.

As I come out, her delicate arms wrap around me from behind, her head rested on my back as she hugged me still sleepy "Itna kaam krte ho...maine kitna wait kiya?"

I pull her to my front. It's been two days since we got our time together, thanks to work, festivals, guests and our little one.

I hug her tightly wrapping her in my arms and she succumbs to my touch, with closed eyes head on my heart. She likes listening my wild heartbeats and I like it when she does that.

"Thak gye hoge na?"
"Thak gya tha but tum ho na meri thakaan mitane ko".

I pull her to the couch and she still leaned on me as my fingers play with her hair.

"Waise thaki hui to tum bhi lag rhi ho.."
"Haan aaj Sangeeta aur Anand Babu gye phir ek patient ke saath appointment tha, papa ka check up tha, phir aayi to tumhari beti ne kitchen me aate hi Holi khel li" and both of us laughed at it.
"Badi mushkil se nehla ke sulaya.. phir apne husband ka wait kiya par aankh lag gyi" She said with mischief evident in her tone.

I raised her chin to look into her eyes and she instantly blushed.
Years of getting married and being blessed with a baby could not fade the crimson hue from my wife's cheeks and all I have to do is to look at her

From seeing her as a child to see her become the mother of my child, feels truly amazing.
I get lost in her beautiful face. She has been a wonderful friend, a pillar of strength, a lovely wife and the best mother my daughter could have.

I remember the days of her pregnancy, the pain that she endured during her delivery, 12 long hours of labour. Her helpless cries haunted me for several nights. All of this to bring our little angle into this world. She did this with a smile on her face. Mother's are build different.

She snuggled into my chest, as we discuss family, work, our baby and weekend plans.

She said in a demanding tone "Aaj tumhari ladli din me nhi soyi, to raat ko nhi uthegi.. mujhe tumhe aise hi hug karke Sona hai".
My heart raced at this and the grip on her firmed as I deeply kissed her head.
