śrutaṃ karma mahat kṛtvā nivṛttena kirīṭinā
jātaḥ putras tavety evaṃ śrutakarmā tato 'bhavat
As he was born after his father Kiriti (Arjuna) returned after performing great deeds that earned him fame, he was named Shrutakarma.
