Nikola had since woken up and looked around. Marvin was laying on a stretcher a little away. Nikola didn't know if he slept, was awake, if he was just resting or if he already died. She had to continue, she had to find all medallions, get out of here and find what she was looking for. She jumped on her feet and pulled up her jacket properly. "Stupid piece of shit always slips", she cursed and looked around.

She opened her shoulder bag she had with her and ran her fingers over the horse medallion and the lion medallion.

She had taken a small notebook from a zombie in the corridor in which Leon had caught her browsing the files. The zombie must have been Marvin's friend once, he was talking about him and that he would have owned a notebook.

Marvin told her, his friend David believed in a way out of here with those riddles, those medallions. He had known that it had to go out, that these puzzles were not just there for fun. She would have liked to know David, he seemed like an interesting person to be with. But now there were more important things to do. She was looking for this cop, this guy. But there was no one in sight. She would go find this damned battery and then get out of here.

There was still a medallion missing, the one of the women. Nikola also knew where it was, behind a lattice wall that was locked and provided with explosives. She had already found an electrical part; she just needed a battery. The goddamn Battery. And she couldn't get the battery, she had already a Idea where it HAD to be but she had no Idea how to get there. She searched everything in the Station. There was just one place she couldn't go. The S.T.A.R.S office. There were so many damn zombies in the corridor that led to the stairs. She couldn't do it alone; her ammunition would never be enough. Nikola hit almost every shot, but not all of them. And excactly the ones she didn't hit, those where the ones that she needed to put them all down. To kill them all. As she was about to leave, she recognized Marvin, who was sleeping on the bench in front of the secret entrance. Or maybe he was already dead? Who knows. She had to be careful, if he transformed while she was away she had to be prepared for him, but normally these shitty creatures alert you from 10 meters away that they are alive and that they will now make this a problem for everyone.

She crept past Marvin and up the stairs. At the top of the Lion Statue, she turned to the left and ran towards the library. She had found the key to this room while fleeing from the zombies in the stairwell. She hadn't told Marvin about it, but she suspected he already knew. She didn't trust him. And to be honest, she was happy that soon... he won't be her problem anymore. He was nice, sure, but she had a mission. And even if she wanted to, there was nothing more she could do for him. She thought about asking him to help her with the stairs. That he could help her get rid of these zombies. But she let it go, it would reveal too much. But wait? He only has three days left anyway, who will he tell in those 3 days...? It didn't matter who would help her, just someone! Those fucking stairs...

Omg the fucking Stairs. There were about a million zombies up there, she needed someone to help her put them down.

Wait.
The police officer.

She was planning to leave trough the secret tunnel David talked about and she also planned to leave Marvin behind, she liked him and stuff but he's going to turn, and the best place to turn is not with Nikola. Therefore, she also didn't tell him that she had the Medallions.
She's going to find them all, will exploit all the ammunition and whatever else the area has to offer and then she's gonna get the hell out of here, best case scenario without Marvin and without that wannabe police officer. But what if he could help her with the stairs? He was a cop after all, right?
