Running through the dense forest what felt like hours, I finally reached a place to catch my breath on a nearby patch of grass where the sun shimmered a single circular spot amongst the green blades beneath my feet. I clasped my knees as I gasped for air "that should be far enough, my kind know well to take on a dragon let alone by my lonesome" a light pain made it's presences in my forehead as I felt a rush enter my brain causing me to wince with the soft hums emminating from my forehead.
This feeling felt peculiar to say the least as it felt painful yes but almost like it was pumping energy throughout my entire body like it was telling me to "keep moving" I had lost the sound of the voice which was once present and very clear to me at first but still it felt like it was there, nearby the patch of sunlight I was standing in was a medium sized arched rock inbetween the trees "it wouldn't hurt to rest for a bit I feel like I need it after what I had just experienced" I released myself from the suns rays and sat with my back against the rough rocky surface, a exhaled relief escaped out of my lungs as I allowed the peace to finally envelope me.
Staring deep into the forest, it came apparent to me that I had been running so much that I had actual no idea where I was nor where I wanted to go from here, Corva had long since been gone despite it being a day or so and my original home where I was born from had no memories that jumped out to me.
I am alone here...
I could hear nothing but the light breeze of the trees and the soft howls of the wind brushing the grass to the right hand side in easy slow gust. My attention was drawn to my paw as I stared blankly at it and for brief moments could I see what appeared to be my veins encased in a barely visible purple tint as the colors blurred in and out of focus as it traveled across my paw. "mother, where do I go from here?" I knew that she couldn't hear me from where I was but she could feel my sorrow like a child who experiences pain and yet a parent does not need to witness the incident but they are aware that their offspring is hurt, I couldn't really grasp that phenomenon growing up but perhaps it's just something I am not really aqauinted to. Looking up to the sky through the leaves could I see the sun lightly begin to pass over me and the patch of sunlight once clear now began to disappear slowly as the sun drifted through the sky.
I clenched my paw and closed my eyes with a calming smile with the aid of the rock supporting my ascent before standing began to move on through the forest, with the hope that I could find something that wasn't so foresty shall we say. I looked around to keep an eye on my surroundings for something to stick out which can draw my attention but all I was met with was a glooming forest with unknown terrors that lurked behind each and every tree trunk but not all places need to be seen to know they exist, things can make themselves know by a sheer scent.
Pack Backs are blessed with heightened sense of smell and hearing very few creatures have this gift as it's three times as advanced compared to a mere wolf but my sense had increased and were much more indepth which came to a surprise to me as despite my maturity it could even rival various leaders of the Pack Back tribe. The scent unfortunatly was not one that I wanted to be blessed with as it stinging, pungnent and judging by where I was in the forest "that's nearby".
A smell was accompanied by the odorous stench but it didn't give off any scent that no normal beast could track it was as if I was smelling fear itself.
I turned to my left and got on all fours and pounced following the scent that was being provided to me, it grew stronger and stronger the closer I got with my nostrils blazing from the smell but I pushed further my paws one after another getting quicker and quicker as I did not break eyecontact with the presented waypoint. voices of taunting and chatter filled the forest causing my ears to perk up before griding to a halt behind a large tree "the waypoint has been reached"
