Draco and Tobias held hands as they walked in front of their parents down the busy streets of Diagon. Draco swung their hands back and forth as they walked to Flourish and Blotts. They had come here many times before, as Tobias was a 'nerd' as Draco called him, they had bought many books for the pre-teen.

Tobias let go of Draco's hand and rushed to the shelf of new arrivals; Draco, of course, followed.

"I swear, they are mates," Lucius said, as he watched his son follow his best friend's son around the store.

"Let's go wait by the counter," Remus said, taking Severus's hand and leading him to the front.

"MOM, I SAID I WANT THE OTHER ONE," They heard a child scream and looked over to see none other than the Potters standing there.

Remus took in the sight in front of him, he hadn't seen them since he adopted Tobias. They still looked the same; Liam, on the other hand, was ugly as ever.

His face was covered in red spots, his hair was red and curly on top of his head and he was chubby.

"Well, he's sure been fed well." Severus drawled, and Remus chuckled.

The Potters took that moment to turn and looked over at them. "Oh, gosh they're coming over," Lucius said as he put on his Malfoy mask.

"Remus, is that you?" Lily said when they got close.

"Hello, Lilly," Remus greeted with a stiff nod.

"Where have you been Rem?" James asked, "You disappeared without a trace," he said.

"I've been busy," Remus answered simply as Lily's eyes moved to Severus.

"Severus, I haven't seen you since Hogwarts. How are you? What are you doing here?" She asked as her husband glared at the man.

"I had no reason to see you," Severus said, in a plain boring tone.

"Well, James and I have gotten teaching jobs at Hogwarts this year, so maybe we can catch up between classes," She said, and Severus fought the urge to roll his eyes.

"Perhaps," He said, moving away and walking up to the counter where he saw the two boys waiting for them.

"What did the Potters want?" Tobias spat, glaring at the family, and Severus shook his head, looking back and seeing Lily push Liam forward.

"Showing off the brat as usual," Severus said, ruffling his son's hair. "Have you got everything?" he asked, and the two nodded. Severus paid, and they exited the store to meet the rest of the group who had left to escape the Potters.

"His magic is barely above a squib," Tobias said, and the others looked at him.

"Who?" Remus asked, confused.

"Liam, his magic is weak. I tested it with a spell I learned," Tobias said and the others nodded.

They then went to the pet store, where Tobias got a snow owl and named her Hedwig, and Draco got an Eagle-owl and named it Midnight.

Then they went to get a wand. Draco got him on the fifth try. After trying fifty wands, Tobias's wand had to be custom-made. Finally, they went to get their Robes, and the two families headed home, exhausted.
