Everybody makes mistakes

I slowly opened up my exhaustion-filled dark brown eyes, my head was hurting like I just had a little trip to hell and back.

I rubbed my face and tried to get up but before I could, I accidentally rolled off the bed and fell face flat onto the floor.

Just as I thought I couldn't start the day off any worse than this, I spotted a little notebook right in front of me on the ground. I slowly picked it up and flipped through it, there wasn't anything new in it until...huh?

Why in the world does it say "Go back to the forest, take back control." and all sorts of bullshit here...? What was I doing last night?

I asked myself as I strugglingly rose up from the ground and slowly went over to the kitchen. That's when I saw it, the biggest fucking ring I ever saw, right in the middle of the kitchen.

Oh and you thought that was it? No no...there were notes stuck onto the fridge saying exactly the same sorts of things that were on the notebook. I groaned a little as I got a glass of water and tried to remember the events of yesterday.

Let's see...I do remember me and the girls having a night out...but how the fuck did a giant ring get in here?? And what in the world was I planning with those notes?

That's when it all clicked...I stole the ring, had an ego boost and thought I was on top of the world and could beat anything or some random bullshit I tricked myself into believing as I was drunk last night.

Though it did feel good to be like that...I'm not that stupid, I'm not gonna go back to the forest- but wait.

What if I could go back to the forest and continue to draw there? If I manage to be just a little more careful and not get spotted by any giants...ugh especially that dumb blonde one the other day. He was cute and I did enjoy the flirting...but all of that just to eat me at the end? He wasn't any different from the rest, a man-eating monster.

I still think I could avoid getting captured though. I am pretty good at avoiding the giants at the giant city when I'm partying with friends after all, and yes I know that it's stupid, I'm literally risking my life just for the sake of my creativity here! But just even the feeling of freedom...not having to live like I'm stuck behind bars that made me feel as if I'm just some filthy prisoner...oh just how amazing it is to get out of there! I couldn't give that up so easily, at least without properly giving it a try...right...?

With that, I changed out of my partying clothes I wore yesterday night- yes I didn't change out of my clothes before going into bed, I was drunk so blame that! Then I got my little backpack on and stepped out of the house.

I walked for what felt like millennia until I finally reached the spot where me and the girls always sneak out without getting caught by the city's security system. I managed to get past it of course, and left the city to start heading to the forest nearby.

The city was already surrounded by trees since it really was located close to the forest, but if you look even further ahead, there are these absolutely humongous trees, like seriously...the trees in this area are tall but those? That's a whole other story there gosh. But that's also how you know the path to the giant city.

Though...no matter how many times I see giant-sized things such as the trees, it's just so hard to believe that they're real!

Yes, even though I've seen the same exact thing like a bajillion times, sue me.

I continued walking around within the forest for a little while longer before slowly walking up to a regular-sized three and sitting down next to it. I took out the backpack that I brought along with me off of my shoulders and pulled my little sketchbook out that's decorated with multiple colorful stickers, some were just cute characters or symbols while others were show references, memes or some little LGBTQ+ flags.
