KIKA POV

"hi baby who were you talking to over there?" pierre asks as i return to the booth.

"just a girl i bumped into this morning, i just needed a break from you two." i reply, motioning towards my boyfriend and his bestfriend charles.

they both laugh with each other as pierre opens up his arms for me to come into. "we're not that baddd." he tries to defend but i just roll my eyes.

the crowd on the dance floor opens up a bit, enough so that the booth we were in had a clear view of the bar where june and lily still were.

something about june was so special. she came off very secluded to herself but i could tell the more we talked the warmer she became towards me. i still can't shake off the feeling that i've seen her somewhere before. 

"look babe. that's her and her friend lily." i say, interrupting his and charles' conversation by grabbing pierre's chin gently to divert his head to them. charles also looks over.

"no way that's johnny depp's daughter!" charles realises, making pierre widen his eyes as well. "that's so cool!" he agrees, looking back at me.

"i'm not telling her to introduce you to her dad." i say all serious, knowing damn well it was something the both of them would ask of me. pierre responds by giving me an overdramatic sad face while charles laughs.

"who's the other girl with her?" charles says as he stops laughing. he sits up straight trying to get a glimpse of her as the dance floor starts to fill up again.

"oh her name is june, she's a model who just moved to monaco." i explain. "oh." charles immediately leans back again, a hint of disappointment in his eyes.

hearing me say 'model' probably put him off.

charles and charlotte only broke up 2 months ago and he was still on the road of getting over her. pierre told me his mood was always changing whenever she was mentioned, or when something would remind him of her.

charlotte and i were good friends, she was insanely nice to me when pierre and i started dating, but we weren't as close to each other as our boyfriends were. i'd call her my friend but definitely not one of my girlfriends, considering we only ever hung out during races and when charles and pierre wanted to hang out and invited us.

so it's not a surprise that i had completely forgot she was a model until after it came out of my mouth and charles had reacted.

i give pierre an apologetic look, not intending to kill the mood, but he just gives me a reassuring smile in return as well as a kiss on the forehead.

"right, moving on, you ready to have fun mate?" he says as he pats charles on the shoulder.

A/N sorry this chapter is so badd but i just landed in monaco and i wanted to update before the race weekend as i probably won't have time for updates during then.
i slept basically the whole flight so no chapters were written in that 24 hours so pls ignore how bad this is and let's get excited bc charles is finally in the book!!

p.s this is my third monaco gp that i'm going to and charles was p3 last week so 3 divided by 3 is 1 which means charles p1 in monaco!!
(no but if i witness charles p1 with my own eyes this weekend you all are getting 16 chapters while ill be sobbing my eyes out.
