That's when Syzoth realised what this place was.
This used to be where he performed in the carnival. The memories came flooding back...
But that's when he saw her, Leixia, standing with her back turned to him.
She was waiting for him, she wanted to speak to him.
"Leixia?"
Syzoth called out, approaching Leixia slowly.
"Syzoth, you came."
Leixia smiled. Though, it was bittersweet.
"I missed you."
Syzoth said, his voice breaking.
"Where were you?"
He sniffled, holding her close.
"I was training, Syzoth. I tried to reach out to you, I really did. But my father urged me to be early, he didn't want me to be scolded."
Leixia sighed, caressing his cheek.
"Zurath told me everything, Syzoth. I'm not mad."
She reassured him.
"You aren't mad?"
Syzoth asked, but Leixia's smile faded.
"I'm not mad. I'm hurt, sad, betrayed."
Leixia sighed, she felt as if the man she loved most ripped out her heart.
"You promised that you'd only love me. That you'd only have a family with me..."
She sniffled, pulling away from Syzoth.
"And I hear that you've married another woman, twice? And that you had a son with your late wife?"
Her voice was a mixture of sadness, hurt, and anger.
"But I understand, it's a part of life. I disappear without a trace for a decade and I expected you to wait. You are a man after all, you have needs."
She sighed, pulling Syzoth's hands off of her.
"Leixia..."
Syzoth was begging at this point.
"Syzoth."
Leixia said in a deadpan tone, but her face betrayed her.
"You know my values, Syzoth."
She sighed.
"I was raised to be a woman, not a jealous girl. I'm not a homewrecker, I won't be homewrecker."
She said sternly, trying not to look Syzoth in his eyes.
"What are you saying?"
Syzoth asked, sounding... defeated.
"We should stop seeing eachother."
Leixia said, a tear rolling down her cheek. It hurt her so much to say that.
Syzoth's heart broke, he reached out to her.
"Leixia. Rethink this, please!"
He was begging, he didn't wanna let her go.
"Syzoth, my decision is final."
Leixia said, giving him one last kiss.
"I love you. I love you so much."
She said, before pulling away.
Syzoth couldn't even get a word in, she started walking away.
"I... love you too."
