We are a duality
The richer of us,
And the poorer of us,
Are different yet the same.
We are known as
East
And
West.Let's start with me, shall we?
I am West, or West Germany.
I hold the majority of the
Fatherland,
And I am economically
Richer as well.Capitalism is where I stand,
With America, Britain, and France
on my side. And we'll end with me.
I am East, or East Germany.
I hold the minority of the
Fatherland,
And I am economically
Poorer as well.Communism is where I stand,
The Warsaw Pact binding me to the
USSR.We were divided at the end of
WW2.
Why?
Because the Allies
Were afraid of what might
Happen without supervision.I was always sicker,
Hungrier,
And poorly treated. And I was always healthier,
Stronger,
And well treated. Our duality is not rare,
But merely uncommon.
North and South Vietnam,
North and South Korea,
And finally,
The Union and the Confederacy.
There are many more,
Of course.
Our duality is an aspect of
Ourselves
And many othersWhen East was on the
Verge of death…
I took control of her lands,
In a promise to continue our legacy
Of being together no matter
What,
For her.We are a duality
The richer of us,
And the sicker of us,
Are different yet the same.
We are known as
West
And
……..
…east…
