"What are you doing!?" Celine stormed in the house.

"Who the hell are you!?" the detective yelled back at her.

William's voice turned soft at the sight of her and it almost made Damien sick, "Celine . ..what are you doing here?"

"Celine!?" the Detective scoffed, "How the hell do you know her?!"

"Madam!" The butler cut in, "I'm afraid you've come at a very importune time. Something dreadful as happened here"

"I can see that and I'm glad I got here before it got any worse" Celine looked around at them all, completely ignoring Damien.

Damien couldn't believe it. After all this time of being away. . . . after something so horrible has happened. . . and she can't even LOOK at him!?

"This is only the tip of the iceberg and it's a BIG iceberg!" the chef told her, "How can I put this delicately. . . .MARK'S FUCKING DEAD!"

They all flinched at his crude shout, a little horrified at his 'delicate' announcement to her.

"What?" Celine LOOKED surprised but. . . not. . really?

"Dead like my hopes and dreams" the chef mumbled to himself, "AND HE'S A FLESH EATING ZOMBIE, TOO!"

"Homo necrosis!?" Celine guessed.

"EXACTLY!" William nodded his head, "Hence the ~guns~"

Damien blinked, 'What?'

"That is NOT 'hence the guns'" the detective argued.

"STOP WAVING THOSE BLOODY GUNS AROUND!" The butler cried.

Celine stopped them, "Ho-Hold on! Tell me what happened! How did Mark . .  die?"

"It was murder" Damien finally spoke.

And FINALLY, Celine looked at him.

Lightning crackled outside.

"And worse yet, the body is missing!" William shouted.

Damien didn't know THAT, "Wait, what? HOW!?"

"What? Show me. . .and DON'T say that word!" Celine scolded them.

"What word?" the chef asked, "Murder?"

Lightning blasted in the sky again.

"Yes, that word!"

The butler took her to where the body HAD been, "Well murder is a pretty accurate description of what occ-"

Celine slapped his arm, "DO YOU NOT SEE THE LIGHTNING!?"

The detective narrowed his eyes, "You saying it was LIGHTNING that murdered Mark?"

William hummed, "Well, mother nature doesn't exactly strike me as having murderous intent"

"Stop it! Stop!" Celine halted them, "Whatever's happening here is tapping into forces far beyond our control."

They all looked around oddly at each other.

"Look. . . Mark's death was a terrible thing indeed. But I fear there are forces much darker than anything we've seen here today. I'm well versed in the arcane arts but if you, untrained and uninitiated, can summon lightning with a mere word. . .we're all in far graver danger than anything we could ever hope to face alone. . . we're going to have to work together if we're going to survive this."

"Celine" Damien stopped her, "What are you proposing!?"

He had NO idea what she was talking about. Arcane arts? initiation? What was she DOING all that time alone?
