After that fateful night in the Astronomy Tower, Sara and Mattheo sat down and really talked for the first time in what felt like forever. Amidst the raw emotions and confessions, a revelation unfolded before them: half of their profound connection was indeed due to the soulmate bond, an unbreakable magical link that had drawn them inexorably together. However, the other half of their connection, they realized, had always been there, simmering beneath the surface since before their lives had ever been tangled by fate.
In the days that followed, Mattheo made the difficult decision to end things with Violet. While it was painful, it was necessary, allowing him to fully explore the depths of his feelings for Sara without any reservations. He approached the breakup with respect and care, ensuring there were no lingering misunderstandings.
Now, Sara and Mattheo were officially together, and they had never been happier. Freed from the shadows of unspoken truths and misunderstandings, they found joy in simply being with each other. Sara was there for Mattheo as he navigated the complicated waters of his familial obligations and the heavy expectations placed upon him. Her support was unwavering, her presence a constant reassurance that he was not alone in his struggles.
They spent countless hours discussing everything from mundane day-to-day worries to their deepest fears and hopes. Mattheo shared more about his father and the legacy that weighed on him, while Sara opened up about her fears of their bond defining their relationship. Together, they learned to differentiate between the love forged by destiny and the love they chose to nurture day by day.
Their relationship deepened in ways they had never anticipated. Each moment together strengthened the foundation of trust and mutual understanding they had rebuilt. Walks around the lake, evenings spent in the library, and nights watching the stars from the Astronomy Tower became cherished rituals. Each laugh, each shared secret, and each supportive embrace wove them closer together, not just as soulmates but as partners who chose each other above all else.
In this new chapter of their lives, Sara and Mattheo discovered a profound truth: that true connection is not just about magical bonds or cosmic destiny; it's also about the choices we make every day. It's about choosing to love, to support, and to stand by someone through challenges and triumphs alike. With each passing day, they were not only fulfilling a destined bond but actively choosing to love and understand each other more deeply than they ever thought possible.

In the warm glow of the late afternoon, Mattheo's dorm room had transformed into a cozy sanctuary from the bustling activity of Hogwarts. A gentle fire crackled in the hearth, casting playful shadows across the walls and illuminating the room with a soft, comforting light. Books lay scattered around, a testament to their shared afternoons spent in quiet companionship or lost in their own studies.
Sara lounged on Mattheo's bed, her legs stretched out and a book propped open on her lap. Mattheo, sitting at his desk, was pretending to focus on an essay, but his attention was frequently stolen by the girl occupying his space. A smirk played on his lips as he watched Sara's eyes flicker across the pages of her book, her brow furrowed in concentration.
"Finding the plot alright, or do you need me to summon a summary for you?" Mattheo teased, his voice laced with mock seriousness.
Sara looked up, rolling her eyes playfully. "Oh, please, as if you could summarize a potion textbook better than me. I'd be more worried about your essay there. How many times have you rewritten that paragraph?"
"Just focusing on making it perfect, unlike some people I know," Mattheo retorted with a grin, his eyes twinkling with amusement. He stood up, stretching his arms above his head before sauntering over to the bed.
Sitting down beside her, he gently tugged the book out of Sara's hands and set it aside. "I think you've done enough studying for today," he said, his tone softening. He brushed a loose strand of hair behind her ear, his touch lingering.
Sara's protest died on her lips as Mattheo leaned in, capturing her in a light, teasing kiss that promised more but left her wanting. As he pulled back, he studied her face with an affectionate gaze.
"You know, I could get used to this," Sara murmured, her earlier annoyance forgotten, replaced by the warmth spreading through her chest.
"Get used to what? My charming company or my incredible kissing skills?" Mattheo asked, a mock-arrogant raise of his eyebrow making Sara laugh.
"Maybe a bit of both," she conceded, her voice soft. She wrapped an arm around his neck, pulling him closer.
"Well, I'll be sure to show both off then." He smiled, his body leaning forward to capture her lips once again. As they kissed, his hand drifted to her waist, pulling her closer and deepening the kiss. Suddenly, he pulled away, breathing heavily.
"Hey, can I tell you something?" Sara asked looking into his eyes.
"Let me say something first," Mattheo responded, he had an idea of what she was going to say.
"Okay..." Sara giggled.
"I love you, Sara Rowlan," Mattheo gave her a charming smile.
"I was just going to say you have food in your teeth..." Sara teased.
"Shut up," He chuckled, playfully rolling his eyes.
"Well..." she smirked. "I *was going* to say I love you, but you beat me to it."
"Yeah? I figured as much." He smirked, before leaning in to kiss her again.
"So full of yourself," Sara rolled her eyes, kissing him back.
"You love it." He wrapped his arms around her as he tugged her close, and then he kissed her once again, his fingers running through her hair.
