Katie's POV
Thankfully Kevin had got the message and had stopped irritating me. Whenever we saw each other he would either wave or just smile and walk past me and that was all I wanted. Alice had left me alone since the "cafeteria incidence". Why? Well it had something to do with Nash giving her the talk of her life or something, at least that is what I heard. The good thing was I was free from all this drama and now I could go back to living my normal life without being the centre of attention. Yes, I missed Kevin a little. JUST A TINY BIT! But I would get over it. Eventually. Anyways, I entered school, a smile as big as the freaking Milky Way on my face. Why was I smiling liking a maniac you ask? Well, because my very own brother was coming back home! Now if a person who shared the same freaking DNA as you was returning after a year you would obviously be happy! Plus, he was getting me Italian chocolates. Have you ever tasted them? Well they taste damn freaking good! It was like angels has made them with their very own hands. My mouth was watering already! As I was taking my first period books out from my locker, my phone started ringing. You're worth it by Cimorelli (the song I had an unhealthy obsession with) bursted through the speakers indicating that my best friend a.k.a Nash was calling. I picked up the phone only to hear a loud sneeze from the other side. Woah. She sounded like an elephant.
"Hey Katie. I won't be acchooo! I won't be able to make it today. I am so sorry! It's just that I have a really bad cold and I have fever too! I am so sorry to leave you stranded like that but mom won't allow me to leave the house in this condition and.."
Before she could finish her list of reasons I cut her off saying," Woah! Calm down woman! Listen to me, stay at home and relax. Take care of yourself and stop saying sorry as if it is your fault. Take some pills and watch Netflix or better go to sleep. Okay?"
"Okay. Thank you for understanding! Bye Katie ."
"Bye! Take care!"
As soon as I stuffed my phone in my pocket,the bell rang and I ran towards class. Thankfully I reached in time. Phew. I went and sat down in my usual place. I looked at the empty seat next to me and realised that I would have to have lunch alone today. Damn. I had to get more friends. Soon my English teacher came in and started teaching us about the Shakespearean era and how it contributed to the field of English. Wow,this was going to be one long class.

Kevin's POV
I decided to leave Katie alone for a while. At least for the time being so that I could find out what Alice had said to her. Alice had been avoiding me for the past few days,she would either pretend not to see me or she would just turn around and walk in the opposite direction. It had been a few days since the cafeteria incident and whenever I saw Katie I would feel like walking up to her and talking to her but instead I would just smile or wave.
I reached school early today and decided to go in and talk to my teammates for a while. They were surprised to see me as I usually wasn't so early but didn't really say anything. We were talking about our football practices and how strict coach was about attending them when I saw Katie enter with a big smile on her face. Wow. She looked pretty. Katie wasn't like those girls who would use a lot of makeup and wear short skirts just so that they could get some boy's attention. No,she hardly applied any makeup,her style of dressing was simple. She was wearing a loose nirvana top and black jeans,her hair tied into a bun. But that was what made her so special,she looked so beautiful even in ordinary day to day clothes. Wait a second. Did I just call her beautiful? Did I just describe the way she dresses? Man,what was happening me? Then I realised something. I had not seen Katie smile like that in weeks! Was she happy cause I had finally stopped talking to her? Did she hate me? The thought of her hating me filled me with pain. Maybe I had started liking her as more than a friend? No. That was not possible. She was too sweet,too innocent for me! I couldn't have such feelings towards her and even if I did I had to hide them. I would get over her in sometime. Till then I would have to stay away from her. God! How did I land up in this situation?

Soooooo....how was it?! I know it's been very long and I'm so so so sorry! Another thing is that I'll be editing the first few chapters and making them more longer. This is just a filler chapter.
