Sara steadied herself overcoming from his intimate initiative and went downstairs. Her mom was sitting with her mother in law and Sara saw gifts on the table supposedly from both sides. Her mom went her and caressed her cheeks asking about her well being.

Sara walked and sat at a distance from Kartik. Kartik's parents were really cordial towards Sara's mom. Sara felt glad seeing them getting along so well. Sara had to sit beside Kartik.

"Kartik beta thank you so much. Tumhare guards ne bohot acchi aur comfortable security provide kiya mujhe" Sara's mom said with a smile.

"Security?" Sara asked confusingly.

"Haan...Kartik provided me guards from the moment I came till now"

Sara felt guilty for screaming at him earlier.

"Sara tum kuch kehna chahogi jo news main dikha rahe hain uske bare main?" Sara's mom asked heaving the air around.

Sara was shocked though she knew this would come. She was making herself calm to respond but Kartik said,
"Main batata hu. Inn sab main Sara ki koi.."

Sara didn't let him complete and said,

"Kartik sab to mujhse suru hua hain to mujhe hi bolne do. Mom,mummy,papa mujhe Mr.Mrigesh ne hire kiya tha ek case ladne ke liye. Actually case tha bhi nahin. Kuch saboot ke liye. Usne bola ki Kartik ne uske behen ke saath relation main tha aur fir uske saath badtameezi karne ki koshis kiya tha. Mujhe saboot chahiye tha Kartik k khilaf to prepare a strong case. Kartik was just staring at her as she finished her speech hiding the biggest truth just to save him. Kartik saw her eyes and didn't know how to read. Her eyes were reflecting a fierce erge of being a protection or a shield for a love she didn't know.

Their parents went on with their chitchats. Kartik was stealing glances from her while she was looking blank.

"Acha to main ab chalti hu. Ap logo se milke bohot accha laga" Sara's mom.said warmly.

"Arey aap rukengi nahi?" Kartik's mom said.

"Nahi Mala ji. Meri kuch der baad ki flight hain"

Sara accompanied her mom outside and her mom turned to her saying,

"Mujhe pata tha ki tum tumhari iss film industry main ane ki koi wajah rahi hogi. Trust me Sara main isiliye nahi chahti thi iss crime world main tum ao. News kitni gandi baate chaap raha hain pata hain?"
