Sara's sleep broke as she got scared by a knocking sound on the door. That maniac lady was still haunted her mind making her afraid of every slight noise. Before Sara's grogginess was about to set aside when she saw Kartik quickly going towards the door.

He opened the door. One of a female staff was there holding something in hand and keeping his voice lower, he expressed his quiet rage saying,

"Is it a time to disturb?"

"Sii..ir, Mala mam ne woh new mam k li..ye woh bheji" the girl stammered.

Sara was already up till then. It was 8:30 in the morning. Kartik closed the door and saw Sara looking at him.

"Tumhari nind tut gayi?"

"Nahi...It's ok"

"Mummy ne tumhare liye yeh sab bheja hain" He showed a tray with a beautiful floral Saree, a new nuptial chain, a cute box of vermilion and a jewellery box.

"Tumhe yeh sab tamjham nahi karna to tumhare kapde aa chuke hain comfortable kuch pehen lena" Kartik said keeping the tray.

"Nahi tumhari mummy hurt hogi. Waise bhi it was a lot for me that she accepted me after all those shits on the news"

Kartik nodded. Kartik went to get freshen up. Sara kept half laying on the sofa. She felt really tired as her sleep didn't complete. Her body is aching but what could she say when she was already warned by Kartik.

Sara finally managed to walk to the tray and picked up the saree. She thought to go to the court to take updates. At least she need to know how worse could things be for her.

She was absentmindedly walking towards the window to open it. Kartik came out from the shower and Sara collided to him causing her stumbled. Kartik quickly reached out to steady her, his hands instinctively finding her waist, sending a shiver down her spine. She was in oversized white shirt and trousers and he was in tight t-shirt which was flaunting his muscles. Their close proximity sent a wave of awareness coursing through them, the air crackling with tension. Sara couldn't help but feel a warmth across her cheeks. She hated how effortlessly handsome he looked, with water sprinkling onto her from his damp locks. His eyes looked dark brown and more intense in the mild darkness around.

Kartik noticed Sara's exasperated expression, he couldn't resist teasing her, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.

"Enjoying the view, haan?"

Sara rolled her eyes in annoyance and said,

"Don't flatter yourself,"trying to regain her composure.

Kartik simply grinned as she ran avoiding him. Sara entered and saw the changing room perfectly arranged with her clothes. When did he do this, she didn't have a clue. Did this man sleep at night? She took a shower and draped the saree. As her mother wasn't around her for a long time now, she could wear saree alone.

He engrossed himself in phone and she entered the room fixing the lower part of the Saree which was not setting properly. Kartik couldn't help but feel a pang of admiration. The soft hues of the fabric complemented her features perfectly, accentuating her natural beauty in a way that took his breath away. The floral printed Saree on her was just something he felt to watch for his lifetime. Her damp moist hair and after shower softness were something he could die for.

Kartik sneakily took a picture of her.

Seeing Sara getting frustrated, he quickly went near and got down on his knees holding the soft fabric helping her in fixing.

"Agar thodi madad le logi to kya hojayega?"

Sara sighed. She fixed her saree with the help of him and went to the dressing table and wore somethings from the tray. Kartik kept admiring her.
