Eva wasn't sure of what to do. She hesitated at first.

'Did he kill the men?' She thought.

"I'm not going to hurt you. Trust me".

The man said gently, and Eva placed her hands on his.

She stood up gently, and followed him. She looked back at the three men that attempted to r*pe her, and quickly turned her face away.

They both stopped in front of a really fancy car.

The man placed his finger on a part of the car, and the doors opened.

Eva was shocked and amazed. She had never seen a thing like that before.

Who was this man?

"You may go in".

The man said, and she obeyed.

For some reason, Eva felt like she could trust him.

The ride was silent for a moment. Eva didn't know what to say.

But then she suddenly realized- what if this man was a kidnapper? An assassin? Did Stephanie send him to me? Or maybe Katherine?

How could I be so dumb to trust a complete stranger?

"What's on your mind?"

The man asked, interrupting her thoughts.

"Oh um... it's nothing".

Eva said, trying to force a smile.

"I'm not a killer or anything of the sort if that's what you're thinking".

The man said, smiling.

Eva tried so hard to believe him, but she battled with her thoughts.

"Did you kill those men?"

She asked.

"I didn't kill them. I only zapped them with a zapper".

"How did you know that I was there?"

"I worked late at the office, and I'm just coming from there. I watched them trying to do that to you from a distance".

"T...thank you".

Eva said gently.

"You're welcome".

The man said, and the ride was silent again for a moment.

"If you don't mind me asking, what were you doing there all alone by yourself at that hour?"

The man asked.

"Oh.. um, I... I just had a rough day".

"Lay it on me".

And so, Eva told the stranger about how her Stepmother had sold her to an old hag to settle some debts, and how she tried to find comfort in her boy... Ex-boyfriend's arms, but ended up being betrayed by him. Then, she also told him she tried to take her mind off things by going to the club, but wasn't granted access, and how she ended up on that bench.

"...and then, you saved me. Thank you".

Eva said.

"It's nothing, really. I hate seeing men do that to ladies".

"Oh. I see. Is there a reason behind that though?"

Eva asked, arching her eyebrows.

"You're curious now, aren't you?"

The man asked, and Eva smiled.

"Well, you're right. There's a reason behind it. My mother's Fiancé used to do that to her, and she endured it for years. Anytime she tried to defend herself, it'll end in fights, quarrels and beatings..."
