"So," Dad starts as he pulls up into the car dealership. There were a bunch of expensive brands lined up. Ferrari, Lambo, Rolls Royce, Mercedes. You name it. "Have you ever driven before?" He asks.

"Yes, a go kart, bumper cars and a gold cart." I say, panicking.

"That's good enough. Maybe you can drive us to dinner." He says.

"I said I've only ever driven a fricking bumper car! Not a whole car." I protest, getting out his car.

"So, today can be your first lesson. The restaurant is only 10 minutes away and i'll be in the front seat. Don't panic."

"Don't panic? I'm going to drive a sports car as my first car. I've never driven before." I breathe heavily as I watch him inspect a few cars.

"Lets go to BMW!" He calls out as if the idea just popped up into his head.

"Or, we can go to toyota and get a normal, small car and maybe when i'm good at driving we can come back."

"Or, I get you a nice car. I know you want a BMW. I talked to Eliyah last night." He chirps, as he leads me to the BMW shop. "He said that you've always dreamt about having a BMW i8, and just because you left LA and your old life, doesn't mean you can't continue your dreams here." Since when did he become so wise?

"Papa, please do not buy me a BMW i8, I can buy that when I make the money." I beg.

"No, mi vida. I love you, but they only have one left, if you try to make the money it'll take you years. You live under my roof so I pay. Plus, a BMW i8 won't even make a tiny hole in the amount of money i have." He reassures.

"Dad." I protest, feeling myself slowly give up.

"Ah!" He smiles brightly as he points at the most beautiful car I had ever seen in my life. "Excuse me." He calls out to one of the employees. They walk over, their eyes wide as they realise who they're talking to. "Could I take this for a test drive?"

"Of course, we have one in the back for a test drive, please follow me."

We trail behind her as I try to persuade my dad to turn around and get a more normal car.

"Here are the keys," She says as he hands my dad the keys.

"Get in, mija!" Dad chirps as he gets into the drivers seat. I reluctantly climb into the passengers seat, pulling on my seat belts. "We'll just go around the roundabout and be back. No more than 5 minutes." He tells the employee who nods with a warm smile.

He starts the car and the engine is so loud I think my ear drums are going to explode. He starts to drive and the car is so smooth. My hand trails against the leather material of the seat as I look at the interior. I've always loved this car, but that doesn't mean I'm going to let Dad spend almost a 800,000 euros on my first car.

"You like it?" He asks as we get out the car and he hands the keys back to the lady. "The colours nice, no?"

"I love it and the colour is perfect, but please don't spend this much." I beg.
