Chapter 2
Mason's P.O.V.
When i saw her out on the dance floor I couldn't hold my self back. I saw that Chris was looking at her friend and we both made our path to them. I started dancing with her and when she saw it was me, she got shocked. But then we talked and i actually made her smile.
But of course Shelly came at the worst time ever asking if I wanted to go to a room. And as the jerk I am I told her maybe another time, not thinking about Paige.
Paige. Her name sounds sweet on my lips and I want to say it again and again and again. She looks so beautiful tonight. The pretties girl in this room. And I just want to know her better. Of course I also want to kiss and fuck her, but also get to know her. Which is a feeling I have never felt before. I have never had the need to get to know a girl. Always just fuck and then leave.
But she's different. I don't know how, but she just is.
"Paige!" I yell again going fast so she doesn't get away. I reach her grabbing her arm making her stop and turn aroung looking right into my eyes. She is so damn beautiful.
"Hey, why did you go away?" I ask her worriedly. "What's wrong?"
She has an irritated look on her face but just shrugs. "Nothings wrong." Damn she cute.
I frown. "Really? Why is it I don't believe that?" I ask her trying to get an answer out of her.
"I don't care what you believe or not, we have just met. What makes you think you know me better than my self?" She asks me.
Paige's friend comes to her and takes her hand draggging her out on the dancefloor and I just stand there. Looking at her while she turn her back at me and starts dancing. Fuck, she's sexy.
I decide to let her be and walk over to Jake who is just standing at bar drinking. "What's up bro." He blinks like he didn't see me coming and looked like someone who was caught in his thoughts. "What you thinking about?"
He frowns. "Valerie called me, she asked if she could talk to you. She sounded weird."
I stiffen. My little sister, Valerie Prescott, means everything to me. The fact that she might be in danger or why she sounded strange gets my defenses up. Without answering Jake, I quickly reach for my phone in my back pocket and call her. Jake just stares at me being as worried as I am.
When she doesn't pick up I think about all the bad scenarios that could have happened. "Why isn't she answering. God damn." I try to call her again now Jake even seems like he's about to freak out. Jake has always had a sweet spot for my little sister, but he has never tried to do anything to ruin our friendship. He knows my sister is my limit and if he get over that limit I don't know if we still can be friends.
When she pick up, I let a sigh of relief out, but then gets mad. "Why didn't you answer your phone before?" I ask her.
"Oh, sorry bro, I just wanted to let you know that I am at a party tonight, so don't bother calling me," Jake isn't wrong she does sound weird.
"Are you drunk?" I ask her.
"Noooo," she says, stretching the no longer than necessarily, "Okay, maybe a little. But don't get mad. I'm fine."
I tense up, but I know that she is big girl now and can take care of her self. "Just take care of yourself, sis, alright?"
"Alright."
I frown. "Where are you?" I ask her.
"At a party," she laughs. "Sorry, bro, but don't worry. Me and Vik knows the guy, so nothings going to happen."
I let out a sigh of relief. "Alright. Good. Have fun." Beside me Jake says he wants to talk to her. "Hey, Jake wants to talk to you." I give him my phone.
"Hey babygirl," he says. I don't like that nickname at all. She clearly says something funny cause he starts laughing. "No, I just wanted to say i miss you." Is he drunk? Or does he want me to freaking knock him out?
He smiles at the phone. "I'm glad to hear that, I'll give the phone back to Mason. Take care of yourself, Valerie." Jake has never and I mean never called Val for Val. Always Valerie. Her full name. Which is alright, but sometimes I feel like theres more behind it. And I don't like it.
But he is my best friend since high school and I just have to trust him to not hit on my sister. He gives me my phone and I quickly say goodbye when I see Paige is crying and walking away from the dancefloor. I look back at where she was dancing and see a guy standing there. He had clearly said something to her, and the fact that he made her cry gives me the nerve to knock him.
But I go after Paige. When I get outside I see her walking down the street and I quickly run after her. "Hey, Paige!" I reach her and pull her into a hug. "Hey, baby, whats wrong?"
She snorts. "Nothing."
My face goes cold as I think about the guy. "What did he say to you?" I ask her demanding an answer. When she doesn't answer I try again. "What did he say, Paige. Tell me."
"He's my ex, he just walked into me and started talking to me as if we hadnt broken up. And he hadnt only dated me because of a...," she stops talking, as if she realises what she just said she blushes and I can see she doesn't want to tell me, but now I need to know.
"Because of a what?" I ask her gently grabbing her ching making her look into my eyes.
Tears runs down her face, "He only dated me because of a dare," she says quietly probably wishing i didn't hear it. But I did.
I frown. "What kind of a dare?"
She looks the other way as if shes embarassed, and even though I can feel she doesn't want to say it, she says it, "to fuck the ugliest girl in the room."
I frown even more wiping her tears away gently. "Is he gay?" I ask her seriously. Cause if he isn't there is 100% something wrong with his brain. Or eyes. Maybe even both.
She smiles a little smile and rolls her eyes. "I don't know. Maybe he is."
I squint my eyes. "How many times a week did you guys fuck?"
She looks uncomfortable. "Uhm we didn't do it every week. Maybe like once a month." She shrug her shoulders.
I look at her with pity. "Oh, god, girl. He is a 100% gay." I can't hold my laugh back. "You dated a guy who was gay."
She looks at me sternly. "You don't know that."
"Yes I do. I will even bet 20 bucks on it."
"Shut up." She says smiling a little.
"Come I'll drive you home," I tell her walking towards my car. She walks after me.
"Okay, but only this one time."
I laugh and think to my self 'Tell yourself that' Cause I can feel me and Paige Stanton is going to get to know eachother very well. And I am looking forward to it.
