Jericho and Bonnie were with Estelle at her California estate. They had been excused from school for a week to properly grieve.

Bonnie had one of Grams' grimoires in her hand while her cousin was drinking wine coolers and watching Finding Nemo.

Estelle had brought out some of their favorite foods as she walked over to Bonnie. "You practicing your craft?"

The hazel-eyed girl sent a closed smile her way and nodded. "Thank you again, for everything Estelle."

"Not a problem, honey. You girls are the closest people I have to nieces. Take all the time you need here." Estelle replied, walking back into the house as Jericho laughed loudly at her computer.

Bonnie's phone vibrated and it was ignored again by the eldest Bennett. "That was Gilbert again?"

"I appreciate her checking on me, but I can't bring myself to speak to her." Bonnie admitted, sitting up to face Jericho. "Hey, do you think I'm wrong for avoiding her?"

Jericho stole a glance at her cousin before pausing the movie. "It's not up to me, to determine whether you're wrong. What I can assure you is that how you feel is valid. Bonnie we just lost our grandmother because of the Salvatores— who wouldn't even be in our lives if it wasn't for Elena."

"Now I'm not placing all the blame on her, but you deserve to be selfish. Mourn Grams, invest into yourself, up your price tag." Jericho silently burped after her speech, standing up to go inside— leaving Bonnie with her thoughts.

Jericho had answered her buzzing phone with the attitude she always has. "You weren't going to tell me you left the state?"

"Tyler, seriously?!" she pinched the bridge of her nose, closing the door to her bedroom.

"You don't speak to me at your Grams' reception and you leave without saying goodbye, what the fuck Jericho?" he raged, causing Jericho to place her phone down.

"Watch how you're speaking to me, for real Tyler. You call me to have an attitude with me? That's so mature, given the fact that I lost my grandmother and my dad within five weeks of each other. You don't get to sit on the phone and yell at me like i'm not going through shit. Call me when you look in the mirror." she hung up and laid on her bed.

Jericho was never the type to be vulnerable on purpose. Around her dad she always showed emotions, but everyone else knew the stoic version. Being in and out of therapy for years, taught the girl how to be duplicitous and it's worked for her.
