Victor Bennett had watched four— almost five year old daughter play with her toys with a smile on his face.

There was a knock on the door, he looked at his daughter before going to answer it.

It was an older lady who seemed lost. "You think you could call my daughter, I- I don't know which house is hers. I can give you the number." she went to reach in her bag, carefully ogling.

He nodded and grabbed his house phone, prepared to dial the number. Suddenly he's outside and the lady continued to stare at him.

Victor felt a chill down his back as he watched the woman. "Are you alright sir?"

"Yes?" he blinked before clearing his throat, "I'm alright, thanks for asking."

P r e s e n t D a y

Jericho, Izzy and Isaiah were all in a library in Maryland. One half of the McCall twins had discovered that Jericho's mom was the last of her bloodline and she went missing back in 2004.

None of the teen's concern as she skimmed through the information. "This is a drag. I want to learn magic."

"We're werewolves, doll." Isaiah reminded as she coughed when the dust from the book she picked up, was inhaled through her nose.

"And I am both, we have been here for nearly two hours— I need to go back and study magic more." Richo spoke, folding her arms.

Izzy sent her brother a look before communicating nonverbally. The younger twin left and Isaiah looked down at Jericho who had discovered a photo of her mother.

Isaiah watched to see if Jericho had a reaction, but all she did was turn the page void of any emotion. "Hey, let me know if all of this is too much for you."

She looked at him and shrugged. "I'm just bored of all this historical lycanthropy crap. I just mastered teleportation, now I want to learn how to conjure more than just fire."

He sent her a nod before packing the last book and escorting them out of the library. "You really don't want to know anything about your werewolf side?"

"I am learning about my werewolf side, you keep mentioning the woman that spawned me so it's kind of irritating." Jericho mentioned while he tugged her gently causing them to stop, before they get to the car.

"I respect you not wanting to know your mom, but it's kind of hard to learn werewolf lineage and you aren't opened to knowing her." Isaiah spoke holding a sincere look into Jericho's eyes.

Her heart thumped as she ingested his words and realized he had a point. When she agreed to go on this trip, she closed herself to learning anything about her mother.

In her mind it didn't seem to be an issue, but it was difficult to understand things without her learning about certain aspects that made werewolves — unique.

March, 1999

Victor was holding Jericho while simultaneously getting the groceries out of his truck. The six year old asked to be put down as she ran into the house and immediately disappeared— somewhere with her toys.

The Bennett man just chuckled to himself as he walked to the doorstep and left the first batch of items there.

When he turned to go back, he saw a woman with curly hair— who favored the mother of his child. Taking one step further, he saw her clearly and scoffed. "Victor wait, please."

"Oh.. you remember my name now?" he spoke, grabbing the rest of the bags while Denise tried to speak to him.

"Look I know this is not ideal—"

"Yeah, showing up to my doorstep after leaving our daughter there six years ago.. is not ideal." He went to leave when she grabbed his arm.

"Just hear me out, you don't have to hear anything else from me. I don't even wanna see her, okay?" Denise mentioned.

"Of course you don't! That's apart of the damn problem isn't it. You want absolutely nothing to do with her. And you want me to listen to you after you admit to not wanting to be in my daughter's life?!" Victor was trying his best to keep his composure, but it was hard due to Denise being here.

"Look, I'm gonna go missing okay? Details aren't important but I need to ask you to do one thing, can you please?" the light-skin lady begged.

Victor reluctantly listened as Denise began to explain why she was here currently, earning a shocked look from him as the werewolf spoke passionately.

He took as much of the information in as possible before she left without a word. Victor turned around once he heard clattering in his house.

He ran to see Jericho using her magic for the first time and shook his head in awe. The two hugged and it's like the woman was never there.

P r e s e n t   D a y

Isaiah, Isadora and Jericho were on their way back to Mystic Falls when they had made the last stop.

The Bennett girl exited the car to use the restroom, once finished she made her way back to the car when someone grabbed her arm. "Miss, please help me."

From first glance the lady appeared senile as Jericho studied her. "Do you need money?"

She reached for her wallet when the woman began having a seizure and completely disregarded anything Jericho was doing to help her.

Isaiah and Izzy ran out, attempting to help as well before the younger twin pulled out her phone to call the ambulance.

The woman pulled Jericho towards her screamed then snapped her own neck.

yall im so fkn emotionally, physically and mentally drained like if i looked how i felt i would be a zombie or worse just a damn skeleton.

i know ima get cussed out but... i'm working on another short story.
