A New "Friend" (Ch.10)

(Mikasa's POV)

I woke up in a white room with a splitting headache.

"Where...am I?" I ask myself. I completely forgot where I was. After a few minutes, a nurse finally walked into the room.

"Ms. Ackerman! You're finally awake! Someone wants to pay you a visit!" She said with a very calm voice.

After she said that, Levi walked in...with another girl.

"Mikasa? How are you?" He asked as he carressed my cheek slowly. I didn't respond. I was just staring at the girl beside him.

She seemed very familiar.

"I-I'm fine, thanks." I reply.

After a while, I finally remembered it. The kiss. The party. Everything.

My head was hurting once again because of the memories.

"Whoa, whoa. Don't stress yourself out now, Miss." The nurse said as she walked in with a couple of teacups.

She set the cups down and Levi started making some tea.

"Well, I gotta go, Hope you get better Mika!" Astrid awkwardly says.

I put on a fake smile and nod. She kisses Levi on the cheek. As she's walking, I was just staring her down.

"What's this girl's problem?" I think to myself.

"Levi? Does that girl know what's up?" I ask, trying to act cool but ended up failing miserably.

"Don't worry, she's just a friend." He says with no emotions.

"But then, what about the ki-nevermind." I say, ending with a sigh.

"I don't trust her..." I say to him.

I just shook it off and drank tea with Levi for the rest of the morning.

"So, when did you last hear about Eren?" He asked me.

I just look down and try not to remember all the bad memories.

"Uh, nevermind." He said awkwardly. "Well I gotta go know. See you soon." He says as he kisses the top of my head.

"Hmph, I guess I'll just sleep 'til lunch is ready..." I whisper.

(Levi's POV)

I was walking down the street going to my house when suddenly, I hear a very loud bang coming from a house not far from mine.

I decided to just leave it and go straight to my house.

"I wonder how Mikasa's doing..."

My thoughts were interrupted by loud banging on the door.

"What the fuck..."

I go towards the door and open it swiftly. Out of nowhere, Astrid jumps into the house then shuts the door immadiately.

"So, Netflix and chill?" She says with a huge grin on her face.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Well, you said you wanted to hang out." She said, looking straight at me.

"Tch, whatever." I say as I cross my arms.

"So, what happened to Mikasa?" She asked. It was obvious that she didn't really care.

"None of your business..." I said.

"Okay then...So how much is her medical bills?" She asked.

"Around $200" I said. "I'm gonna pay for it. It was my fault, after all."

After we finished the movie, Astrid left and my phone started ringing after a few minutes.

"Levi? I need you to come here, NOW!" She sounded like it was urgent.

It was cut off.

"Levi Rivaille, come here now, and it will be easier for all of us." A deep voice said before it hung up.

"Oh, fuck this shit." I say as I immediately run outside and to the hospital at the very top of the hill.

Once I get there, I immediately run to Mikasa's room. When I was at the front door, I stop and catch my breath. My hands were on my knees and my heart felt like it was about to jump out of my chest.

I finally open the door.

There was nothing there. The receptionist passed by and said that Mikasa was taken home by some "friends".

I wasted no time and sprinted to her apartment.

After a few more minutes of stopping and gasping for air, I finally reach it.

I open the door, not knowing the devilish outcome.

"Well, you finally arrived."

*gunshot*
