It was a sunny day. The Curtis' brothers found themselves having a nice breakfast. Darry was reading a newspaper while he took small sips from his cup of coffee.

Sodapop and Ponyboy chatted about the most random things that came to mind.
When they all finished eating, Darry excused himself to work, leaving both his kid brothers doing the dishes.

Sodapop cleaned the plates, then handed them to Ponyboy so he could dry them up and put them away in the cabinets.

After cleaning up, Sodapop went to change himself for work. Ponyboy just sat down on the couch while he zoomed out.

"Hey, I'm going to work now, Pony. You'll behave properly, right?" Sodapop asked as he came out of the bathroom changed, his hair still partially wet.

"Yeah, I'll behave. Don't worry about me, Soda. You can go now." Ponyboy replied as his attention still remained within his older brother.

Sodapop put on his shoes and walked to the living room where Pony was at. He rustled his hair, messing it up and smiled at him. His big, bright, blue eyes seemed to shine with the light of the sun.
"Alright, I'll see ya later, kid. If you get lonely, go play with Johnny or Two-Bit" Soda opened the door but stopped before he stepped out. "just watch out for Dal. Y'know how he is." he looked back at Pony, who nodded knowing what Sodapop meant. Then he left closing the door behind him.

Ponyboy sighed. He was alone now. He made himself to his and Soda's room and sat on the edge of the bed. He took out a book and opened it.
He was reading peacefully when suddenly he heard the door to the house opened, and there were several footsteps heard. Pony quickly places down his book and ran out of his room.

When he got to the living room, there they were. The rest of the gang were sitting down and talking. Two-Bit was sitting down on the floor while Dallas sat down on the couch with Johnny next to him.

"Oh hey guys. I didn't expect y'all to come" Pony said as he finally walked into the room.
Johnny gave Pony a nervous smile while Two-Bit turned around and waved at him. Dallas smirked as he retrieved the cigarette he had in his mouth.

"Heya Pony." Dallas got up and walked towards Ponyboy. He wrapped one of his arms around Ponyboy's shoulders.
Johnny frowned but quickly looked away.

"Hey, ya want to come with us? We're gonna go to Buck's." Dallas held Pony real close. It was making it real hard for Johnny to pretend like it wasn't bothering him.

Johnny had a HUGE crush on Dallas, but he knew Dally was straight. He didn't have a chance with him.

"Sure. I mean, it is real lonely here. So I don't see why not." Ponyboy shrugged.
Two-Bit and Johnny got up from where they were sitting and looked at Dallas.
"Alright then. C'mon boys" Dally said as he lead everyone out of the house.

Johnny was the last one to exit the house, who was then surprised by Dally's arm around his shoulder. It made him a little flustered. But it was a good thing Dallas didn't turn to look at him, as he was busy messing around with Two-Bit.

After a while of them walking, they arrived to Buck's. Dallas knocked on the door and they waited until someone answered it.
"Ah, it's you. I see you brought some..of your friends?" Buck asked as he stared at Johnny, Ponyboy, and Two-Bit.

"Yeah, and? You got a problem with it? " Dallas asked. Buck shook his head and stepped to a side for everyone to go in.

The house was empty. It was really weird since it was always packed with people and loud music was playing. But that was always in the evenings, right now it was morning. Who would even want to party in the morning?
Dallas Winston was here for something else. Not to party.

"So? What'd ya want?" Buck asked closing the door behind him.
Dally simply shrugged his shoulders.
"We're looking for entertainment."

Buck sighed heavily. "And why'd you come to me? You could've gone somewhere else."
"Yeah, like Tim" Ponyboy interrupted, Buck glared at Ponyboy and Two-Bit nudged Ponyboy.

Dallas rolled his eyes followed by a loud sigh. "I guess Tim is a better option then." Dally said.
Buck mumbled underneath his breath, "Yeah, I don't even know why you would come to me" Buck said making his way to the kitchen and opening the fridge door.

"Ight then, c'ya later, Buck." Dallas said, and everybody followed Dally.

When everyone got outside, Johnny felt the need to ask what Dally meant by "later".
"Hey..Dal?" Johnny said softly.
Dallas looked at Johnny "What is it kid?" Dally turned his attention back to the path he was walking, not wanting to trip or bump into something.
"Are you planning on coming later to Buck's?" Johnny asked. He knew the answer, but something just wanted for Dally to say no.

He knew Dallas had many encounters with girls at Buck's parties. And it didn't bother Johnny much, since he knew that's how Dally was. But this time, it bothered him a lot.

"Well yeah kid. He's letting me stay in a room he has. Since y'know, I don't have nowhere other to sleep. But it sometimes does get a little loud. And girls 'accidentally' walk in when I'm trying to sleep." Dallas sighs.

Johnny felt a little relieved knowing that Dally wasn't going back just to party. It shouldn't really be bothering Johnny, but his feelings for Dallas where the reason he felt like that.

"Oh. Okay, that's much more relieving." Johnny accidentally blurted out. Dally stared at Johnny but before he could ask anything, Ponyboy called Johnny. Johnny quickly went to Pony before Dallas asked anything.

Dallas was still confused but decided to ignore it.
And in no time, they had arrived to Tim Shepherd's house.
