Chiara's pov,
I knew instantly she was not a human, her unusually pale skin, blood red lips, her yellow eyes made her stand out, and the longer I observed her, her behavior started to give her away.
That made the naga in me raise it's head alerted, but the fact that it wasn't in an attack mode made me think, either she is a much stronger and superior creature or.... No, it can't be.... My naga can't accept a mate, we get scared of such bonds.
Probably she might be a superior creature than us, I asked my naga about the sudden change in our behavior, even she was confused for her lack of reaction. One reason, could be that the person in front of me might have the ability to charm me into calming, but I haven't heard of any creatures that can do that, yes there used to be a powerful race of Vampires, but they randomly vanished of the face of this world many centuries ago.
This all confused me to the core, so I just decided I would be civil towards her, have a short conversation and escape out of this situation.
I asked her about her whereabouts, but she didn't give me a clear answer, which made me feel weirded out. I asked her about her age, she told me she was definitely older than me and laughed while changing the topic subtly. All this was slightly alarming to me, so I kept quiet and chose to just complement her flute playing skills and walk the f*ck out of there.
