Elara's pov
We sat comfortably next to each other drinking our respective coffees that's when Chiara spoke up "Wow, I never knew a place like this would exist around here" "True, as you can see it is a place not known by many, but I have been visiting this place since my teenage years" "Oh wow, that old? " "Yes, it is indeed extremely old and I have seen it get renovated around five times now! " Chiara gasped having forgotten the fact that vampires age slowly "I know you don't ask a female her age, but may I know yours? I'm 7500 years old, 25 for human age" I chuckled and replied "Ooo Oldie alert, but honestly I'm even older,  I'm 25,200 years old, 28 for human age" We both chuckled at the fact that we were older than what we looked like.

As the day flowed smoothly, we got closer to each other, that's when I told her the one thing that was troubling my mind "Ci, you know that I am a Royal Vampire and we are supposed to be sworn enemies, yet you decide to try a friendship with me. I want to ask what made you decide this? " Chiara thought for a while and smiled "I knew you would be wondering this, honestly even I am surprised at my actions, but I have a simple explanation, even though our races are supposed to be sworn enemies, the fact that my bestie and your sister are happy around each other and safe, made me think, what if we all have changed after the war? Maybe there may be a change to reignite the friendships we lost then" I turned red sheepishly and replied "I know about the rumours, people say it's us, but.... Never mind" Chiara looked at me with an unreadable expression and quickly looked away, shrugging her shoulders she hummed.

"Well, in any case, whatever the rumors talk I know for a fact that you are not like what the rumors talk about" I replied "But, is it wise of you to trust me? I mean, I almost wiped out your kind" She smiled ruefully and said "Well, if you are going to do that, just make it as painless as possible okay? After all we are friends, consider it as a twisted mercy" The sentence caused me to tear up and I whispered out "You are safe with me" I took her hand and led her out of the cafe to a beautiful Garden nearby.
