A Dive to Remember

Chapter 21

Elara's POV,

As i was walking behind Chiara, i was actively contemplating a lot of things, i was planning on how could i possibly change this day into my favor. Tonight i would formally ask her out and confess my true feelings, since i have been liking her a lot, her company is greatly appreciated by me, but i love the fact that she understands me like no other and her readily accepting my identity. Yes, there were some road blocks in between, but if everything pans out beautifully, we may actually last long.

Keeping every possibility in my mind including the chance of her not returning the same feelings, i carefully approached the topic. "Hey, umm Ci, I want to thank you for being a great friend, I know it's just barely been six months, but with you, I feel so free as if I have known you for a long time. You make me feel as if I can be happy finally.... I-I have not been happy for the longest time now, especially after mom. But with you it's a fresh breath of air, a safe space and so much more. I genuinely like the friendship you provide me with. I know, for me it takes a long time to trust someone, even for you, for which I'm willing to prove myself over and over again until you stop fearing me" " I am overwhelmed with happiness and thank you for telling me this, and for me, it's been the same. I have only known friendship through Willow, but with you it's different, somehow I feel a more deeper connection between us, something more than just friends, something that I'm afraid to label. I-I am scared that you won't reciprocate the same and I really want our Friendship to remain intact, I don't want to loose you Ela, I really don't " Tears spilled out of my eyes "Am I the one for you? " Ci shuddered a breath and replied "As long as you shall have me, I am for you" I  teared up again and walked towards Ci, i hugged her and nearly sobbed. I stood a step back, held her face gingerly in my hands and kissed her luscious lips gingerly, she kissed back equally shyly and kissed my forehead and pecked my nose.

I had the most happiest smile on my face to the point i looked like a goof. I almost squealed but had to keep a straight face and chose to smile brightly instead. I held her delicate hand in mine and sat beside her on the Grass, looking up at the shining moon gracing us with it's Magnificent presence.

As i sat her down, i quickly ran to the nearest grocery store and got two Chocolate milk bottles and a bag of chips, paying for the items i ran back out the store and sat beside Chiara on the slightly wet grass just staring at her beauty. 

I never believed in Love at first sight until now.
