TWs: Brief threatening, playful arguing, Jupiter and Saturn being ominous/holding secrets, panicking, amnesia. Stay safe :)
Saturn and Jupiter watched the other Celestial beings hang out; Uranus teaching Earth how to paint while Neptune seemed to giggle to himself. Luna, Venus, and Mars were playing a card game a few units away. The Sun was distracted with Mercury orbiting behind him, probably telling him jokes.
Jupiter and Saturn turned away from them, eyeing their moons before them.
"It can't be..." The taller uttered under his breath, his eyes widening, "H-He's actually-"
"Jupiter." Saturn took the other by the hand, raising his other hand to his cheek, "Look at me."
Jupiter did so, looking into the other's eyes as he shifted on his feet.
"We've been through this once before, Jupiter... we can do it again." Saturn assured, "We have to keep everyone safe."
"I know that, Saturn." Jupiter averted his gaze, "It doesn't make it any less easy."
"I know... X was our friend, yet..." Saturn trailed off, letting out a sigh as his eyes watered, "Why did it have to happen?"
"X was troubled. The choices he made could've ended up worse. He has nobody but himself to blame." Jupiter raised his empty hand, intertwining it with Saturn's other hand.
"Right." Saturn nodded, leaning forward against Jupiter's chest, "I wish things could've ended up better..."
"Me too." Jupiter rested his head on Saturn's, breathing slowly.
"A-Are you guys dating now, or what?" A rough voice interrupted the two Gas Giants, making them drift apart.
"What?" Jupiter spoke, peering down at Io.
"E-excuse me?" Saturn forced a smile on his face as he eyed the moons.
"Way to go, Io, now they'll never confess their obvious feelings towards one another," Callisto spoke, rolling her eyes as she looked at her friend.
"H-Hey! I just wanted to know since they looked extremely close!" Io turned to her, coughing a few times as Callisto backed away.
"Moron," Ganymede muttered while Europa laughed beside him.
"Ha, as if those two will be together." She scoffed to the moon beside her, smirking. Jupiter didn't seem to hear what was said while Saturn raised an eyebrow.
"What does-"
"HEY! What are you all doing out of your orbits!?" The Sun's voice boomed over the Celestial beings as he grew, "Get back to your orbits or face the wrath of my flares!"
"Agh- looks like it's time to go, Neptune!" Uranus called, feeling himself melting at all the heat radiating off the Star. He quickly gathered his art supplies, glancing at the Earth, "I'll uh- hopefully see you later."
"Sure," Earth smiled, "Come by anytime."
"Come on, mate!" Uranus grabbed the other Ice Giant by the sleeve, pulling him away to the asteroid belt.
"Nice talking to you, fellow planets~" Neptune waved as they disappeared into the rock and debris.
"Ares, Selene, get back to your orbits!" The Sun glared.
"Who's-"
"Better not to ask questions, Luna." Mars pulled the moon away, letting go when they got to the Earth, "See ya, Earth."
Earth nodded, glancing at his moon, "How was it?"
"I was so close to winning my first round!" Luna whined, making Earth laugh.
"That's what happens when you go up against Mars." Earth leaned back, raising his arms to rest behind his head, "The moment you think you're about to win, something important happens and it cuts you off from your moment of victory."
Luna raised an eyebrow, "Oh, really? Is that your excuse for why you suck at Space Poker?"
Earth gasped dramatically, "Hey! I thought you were on my side!"
"What side?" The moon waved his hands, "We're the only ones talking about this!"
"Idiots..." Venus uttered, spotting a small brown sphere out of the corner of his eye. He turned his head and called out, "Hey, Pipsqueak! Did you have fun orbiting the Sun?"
Mercury huffed, "Well, at- at least he's better company than you, Venus!"
...
Uranus and Neptune were halfway across the middle rings when Saturn called out, "Ah, uh- Neptune, if I may have a word with you, dear friend?"
Neptune turned his head a full 180, smiling at the taller Celestial, "What can I do for ya, Saturino?"
"About the Celestial you mentioned- X, was it?" Saturn's eye twitched, not going unnoticed by Uranus, who raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah! I just can't wait for you guys to meet him one day!" Neptune grinned.
"About that," Jupiter appeared beside Saturn, his eyes glancing around wearily, "You should be careful about who to trust, especially in the Kuiper belt."
Saturn said nothing, just nodding slowly as he forced a smile.
"So, what you're saying is..." Neptune hummed, "That I should get to know him better!"
"What? That's not-"
"What we mean is-""Thanks for the advice, guys! You two are the best!" Neptune bounced along the atmosphere, floating away, "See you guys later~"
Uranus watched as his cousin left, and then he glanced at the Gas Giants, who looked flabbergasted, "Let me guess, that's not what you guys meant whatsoever?"
"Course not." Jupiter sighed.
"Well, we tried to warn him," Saturn muttered.
"Is something going on? You two are acting weird..." Uranus frowned.
"It's complicated." Saturn glanced at Jupiter, "Uranus, you know who Neptune is talking about, right?"
"Of course, I do!" Uranus crossed his arms, "He's talking about the fifth giant, isn't he?"
"Well yeah, but... do you not remember what happened to the fifth giant?"
Uranus averted his gaze, "What... happened? I don't know, mate."
"You were there when we pushed X out of the solar system, Uranus-"
"Yeah, you practically yelled at us, called us 'monsters' and never wanted to see our spheres again," Jupiter spoke.
Uranus blinked, looking down into the void, "I... don't remember that, and I usually have a pretty good memory."
"Uranus...?" Saturn reached out to him.
"No-" Uranus slapped his hand away, "Why can't I remember that? It's usually so clear, but..."
"Uranus, please calm down," Jupiter spoke.
"No, I-" Uranus backed away, "I need to be alone."
The light blue Celestial flew away, ignoring the calls of his friends. His head was pounding and his ears were ringing. Everything hurt as his eyes watered.
'What happened to me?'
