TWs: Crying, brief panicking, brief pain. Stay safe :)
"Earth, please- you need to sleep," Luna spoke, noticing the bags under Earth's eyes.
"I'm fine, Luna! I'm not paranoid." Earth turned away.
"I didn't say you were..." Luna muttered.
"What do you think Uranus is up to? I bet he's lonely. I know he has Saturn and Jupiter, but even then, they don't talk to each other much. Maybe Mars is..." Earth's eyes traveled to the desert planet, who looked to be in the middle of a solo card game. He frowned, "Mmh, never mind, he seems busy."
Earth sighed, blinking his eyes closed. He felt Luna's staring, feeling a certain unease set in his core. He huffed.
"Do you mind-" Earth froze upon opening his eyes and not seeing his moon, "Luna...?"
He looked around, shaking as he took in what was around him. The Sun, Mercury... his mouth dropped open as he saw the last planet he expected to see.
'Theia...?' He thought, his eyebrows scrunching as he felt his eyes watering.
The planet beside her looked like Venus, yet he had water on his surface.
Earth turned around, aweing at the rest of the planets' conditions.
Mars also had water. Saturn and Uranus had no rings, and X was still a part of the solar system...
"This has got to be a dream..." He muttered to himself.
There was a giggle behind him, "Of course... what did you think it was?"
Earth raised his eyebrows, turning to look at the one who spoke, "Theia...?"
"Who else, Pr- mmh... Earth." Theia smiled.
"What... are you real or is this another illusion?" Earth glanced away uneasily.
Theia raised an eyebrow, confusion marking her sphere, "I don't know about 'real,' but I'm not an illusion either."
"Then, I can..." Earth inched closer, trying to get as close as he could to the other. Theia rolled her eyes, filling the gap as she pulled him closer.
Their gravities came together, making them spin in the atmosphere. Earth's eyes widened as he let out a surprised laugh, Theia following after. The Earth felt himself shifting, pulling the other into an embrace. They came to a stop as arms wrapped around each other, tears streaming down the bigger one's face as he laughed wetly.
"I'm sorry..." He uttered, squeezing his eyes closed.
"You have nothing to apologize for, love." She whispered, rubbing his back, "It was bound to happen eventually..."
"Even so, I didn't want you to shatter. It should've been-"
"Don't. Don't say it." Theia tightened her grip, "Think of all the good things that came out of it..."
"Good things...?" Earth uttered, letting out a breath, "My life."
"And?"
"And... Luna." Earth opened his eyes, "I- I don't know what I'd do without him."
"Exactly. I'm not completely gone, Earth. I'll still be with you, just... in a different plane of existence." Theia pulled away, grabbing his shoulders, "You can't hear or see me, but I can see and hear you just fine, and I know how you feel..."
Earth averted his gaze, cracking a strained smile, "Everything is just too much to handle, y'know?"
Theia nodded, "You'll get through it- you all will."
