TWs: Feelings of resentment/anger, stealing personal items. Stay safe :)

"Honestly, I didn't think I'd ever see you again." X spoke, "Given our... past circumstances."

Uranus raised an eyebrow, "Right, well... you should know I'm different than the others."

"Speaking of the others, I take it they know that I'm around?"

"They have their suspicions."

"Odd." Neptune spoke, turning his head to Uranus, "You two speak as if you know each other."

"Neptune, can you gather some ice fragments?" X barely glanced at the other, "There should be plenty near the edge of the Kuiper belt."

"Okie dokie, brotherino!" Neptune grinned, flying away further into the depths.

Uranus furrowed his eyebrows, "You do realize the further someone goes in, the harsher the conditions are, right?"

X hummed, "Yet Jupiter and Saturn didn't seem to care."

"...What are you planning?" Uranus took a step back.

"What am I-?" X raised a hand to his chest as he let out a laugh, "Oh, you're too funny, old friend! I'm not planning anything. If I was, then you'd all be wiped out by now."

Uranus frowned, clenching his hands into fists as he stared wearily at the other.

"Come on, I want to show you something," X spoke, taking Uranus by the wrist.

"What about Neptune?" Uranus peered over his shoulder.

"Eh- he knows how to take care of himself." The dark Celestial smiled, pulling him along.

Uranus huffed in annoyance as he was forcibly dragged along, silently regretting his decisions.

...

"Here we are!" X raised his arms, gesturing at the sight.

Uranus looked around, his eyes widening in awe, "Oh wow, this is a great view- you can see everyone from here, mate."

X hummed, squinting as he slightly scowled, "Almost everyone..."

"What was that?"

"Oh, just something," He cleared his throat, "Caught in my throat. The atmosphere is fragile here."

Uranus nodded slowly, his eyes scanning the solar system, a small smile rising on his face as he saw the Earth playing asteroid dodgeball with Mars and Venus. His eyebrows perked up when he saw the Sun yell something at them, prompting the planets to panic and flee to their orbits. Uranus let out a small laugh, biting his lip upon seeing the strange look on X's face.

Uranus coughed, his gaze diverting to the Sun. He stared at the Star for a few moments, silently realizing something.

"The Sun, he... doesn't see us up here?" Uranus looked over at X.

X hummed, crossing his arms, "Oh, of course not... his light can only reach certain points and we just so happen to be floating at the darkest point in the solar system."

Uranus took in what he said, his eyes peering down from the point. They were still within the Kuiper belt region, only above it- down below, he could see the specs of ice and debris if he looked closely, yet everything around the Sun had a certain glow to it that the outer rings didn't have.

"Do you remember how everything was five billion years ago?" X spoke.

Uranus quirked an eyebrow at the strange question, "Vaguely... why do you ask?"

"No reason." After a few beats of silence, he spoke again, "It was the best time for us."

"You think so?"

"I don't think so- I know it was the best time for us." X said, "There were no pesty rocky planets, no annoying moons, and we were closer to the Sun than anything else."

"Huh, we were, weren't we?" Uranus muttered, then turned to glare at him, "Hey wait- the rocky planets and moons aren't annoying! They serve a function in the solar system as much as us Giants do!"

"Mmh, really now? Last I heard, the Earth got into some deep trouble with the moons." X huffed, "Does the Earth even serve a function aside from being a conceited brat to everyone around him?"

Uranus bit his tongue, holding back the words he wanted to say. He took a deep breath and turned to face X, "Listen, mate, I appreciate you showing me... all of this, but I think it's about time I go."

"Oh, sure, let me see you to the entrance."

They traveled back into the debris of asteroids and ice, not saying a word between them. Uranus felt X's gaze on the back of his neck as he got to the edge of the rocks.

"It was nice seeing you, old friend." The darker Celestial spoke, his smirk never wavering.

Uranus hummed, "I'll-"

"There you guys are!" A voice yelled as blue limbs clumsily slid past the asteroids and made their way towards them, "I've been looking everywhere for you two!"

"Hey, Neptune- I was just leaving." Uranus looked at the other.

"Already?" Neptune blinked one eye, then the other, "Might as well leave together! Oh, X, I put those ice crystal thingies over there... somewhere."

X nodded before flying over to Uranus, pulling him in, and whispering, "If you see Jupiter, can you assure him he's not losing his mind?"

"What...?" Uranus furrowed his eyebrows.

"Oh, nothing." X shook his head, patting the other on the shoulder, "I'll see you again, old friend."

"Uh, right- see ya, mate." Uranus frowned, "Let's go, Neptune."

"Bye, X! It was fun hanging out even if we didn't talk as much this time around!" Neptune grinned, following his cousin away from the Kuiper belt.

...

X smirked to himself as he pulled out a notebook; Uranus' Diary.

To think Uranus didn't keep it in one of his inside pockets was beyond him, but now he had an advantage on one of his targets.

He opened it, reading the latest pages; it was about some dream Uranus had, yet nothing stuck out to X, so he flipped the pages until he got to one.

'Oh...?' He curled an eyebrow as he read the page, "Well, it seems dear Uranus has a small crush on the Earth..."

He let out a small chuckle, snapping the book closed.

"This will certainly be interesting."
