EPISODE FIVE. You're Undead To Me
Cassandra woke up in her bedroom, lying across her bed rather than under the covers. Who knew vampires could be exhausted? She sat up, her eyes droopy as she rubbed the back of her head and gripped her bed sheets while looking around the room. Last night was something, and she hated the fact that she remembered every bit of it.
And just like that, she remembered what she had tried to do and hit herself in the face. She had tried to kiss Cecelia, and when she did, Cecelia was going to kiss her back. But then her mother came and she pushed her away. Maybe Cecelia wasn't out yet. Maybe her parents didn't agree with that kind of lifestyle.
Cassie sighed, hoping today wouldn't be awkward. She moved from her bed and walked out of her room, heading to the bathroom. Upon opening the door, she saw Vicki brushing her teeth.
"I--I'm sorry, I'm almost done," Vicki told her, pulling the toothbrush from her mouth.
"It's--it's okay. Take your time," Cassie shook her head, keeping a polite smile before closing the door and walking back to her bedroom, feeling confused.
When she exited the bathroom, she looked into the hallway and was shocked, taking a breath. Okay, her baby brother has a girl over. That's totally normal, right?
Cassie ended up using Jenna's bathroom and walked downstairs to see Elena and Jenna sitting together at the dining table. She looked at them, shocked.
"Do you two know what's going on upstairs?" Cassie questioned, and Jenna and Elena both nodded.
"Uh-huh," Jenna hummed as she wrote something down.
Cassie looked at Jenna before walking to the kitchen to grab a cup so she could make herself some coffee. She really needed some at the moment. And a little blood bag from the hospital she had snuck when they took Jeremy wouldn't hurt.
Elena looked at Jenna, "And you have no objection?"
"He could be craftier about it, at least make an effort to sneak her in and out," Jenna advised, causing Cassie to laugh. "Oh, and just so you know, I won't be home for dinner."
"Oh, so you're actually going to do it?" Elena asked, and Cassie turned to Jenna, surprised.
"You're gonna go out with Logan Fell?" Cassie asked, shocked, as she sat down at the table with Jenna, sipping her coffee blood. "I thought you hated him."
"I'm going to show up and torture him, yes," Jenna told her niece.
"Well, I guess that makes me feel better about what happened last night," Cassie mumbled, and Elena and Jenna turned to her.
"What happened last night?" Elena asked, worried.
Cassie sighed, "I might've, sorta, almost kissed Cece."
