Chapter 7 - you're gonna be okay

Pov Luna:

We were walking and it began to be darker outside again. I began to be a little scared but i just hide the feeling and try to act as normal as i can. Then i saw a big rock i wanted to sit on so i asked Cups if we could sit there and he agreed.

I was staring at the moon thinking of everything. I hated my nose, i hated the way how i look, i hated the way how i am, i am such a big softie and i feel like i never do things right.

I looked at the ground feeling a tear coming out of my eye. I felt Cuphead staring at me. *oh shoots this is embarrassing..* i thought.

"Hey Luna, are you really okay? You seem.. sad?" Cuphead asked me.
I responded: yea i'm fine, don't worry about it.
It went silent for a bit until Cuphead layed his hand on mine.
"You can't lie. Please be honest with me." He said.
No response.
I was still staring at the ground, now having a little blush on my face but quickly hiding it again.
Silence.

Until something happend.

Pov Cuphead:

*normally i wouldn't do this but i can't stand seeing her sad* i thought.

I grabbed her chin softly so i wouldn't spook her, and turned her head to face mine.

"Loonz, look at me. I want you to be honest and tell me the truth" i said.

Luna pov:

I was still staring at the ground until he grabbed my chin out of nowhere to face his face and saw the worried look on his face. I couldn't help but blush even more now.
When he asked me again if i was okay, i looked him in the eyes and started crying.
I quickly put my face in my hands because of how embarrassed i was.
I hated crying in front of people because i just know people would call me names like crybaby.

I felt two arms wrapped around my body and I couldn't help but cry even more.
For some reason i felt safe.
Safe in only his arms.
It felt weird but mostly comfortable.
Because deep down i knew, he wouldn't dare to call me names.
Because he's my friend.
But this hug didn't feel like a friend hug.
It felt more warm.
I absolutely didn't know what that feeling was but i hope soon that i will find out.

Then the words spilled out of my mouth.

"I- i just hate the way how i look.. UGH especially my nose and body.. *sniff* when i was much younger.. some people called me names like crybaby and softie just because i can't handle most things and worries a lot.. i have a feeling i failed my family, especially Cuppy, she has been in a bad mood for weeks now and i think it's all because of me.. i can't do things right and i think everyone secretly hates me... HECK i feel so alone.." i cried.

I tried to match Cups his breathing but it was hard. After some minutes i finally calmed down a bit.

Then i let go of his arms but he then grabbed my hands.

"I'm truly sorry for how you're feeling Moonshine, but golly, look at ya! You're the most beautiful and amazing girl i've seen! You're my friend and i would never say such things to ya, I promise" he said while rubbing his thumb on my hand.

Now we were both blushing crazy. Then i smiled and we laughed a bit.

"Hey by the way, about that scream last night, you sure you were okay?" Cuphead asked.

My smile faded away as he asked that making me look at the ground again.

"You can trust me, i won't tell anyone" he said as he smiled softly to me.

I sighed.

"Um, yea.. about that.. that was me"

I saw his eyes widen.

"I was walking in the forest because i felt sad, i became tired and then sat on a rock to take a deep breath, but then i noticed a stranger coming closer and closer to me. It was a man and he looked like as if he had drunk too much alcohol.. he asked me if i lost the way back home, i nodded and he asked me if he could walk me to my home, i was stupid for agreeing, but i was so tired and scared that i had to agree. The creepy looking man was trying to touch me everywhere until i became sick of it, but the man started to get angry, and he told me that if i wouldn't do what i was told, something bad would happen, but gosh no i tried to scream as hard as i could, but in results him grabbing my body and slammed me to the ground" i slowly raised my trouser leg a little higher making all the scars show up. I saw Cuphead looking worriedly at my leg. "He kicked and slapped me so hard that my vision went black and after all that i can't remember what happend next.. i just woke up all bruised up alone in the forest, i tried to stand up after some tries and finally after that walking home again"

It was silent for a moment.

I looked in his eyes and i saw how angry he looked with tears in his eyes. He then noticed me looking up and he then fastly wiped away his tears.

"You okay Cups?" I asked worriedly.

"Yea yea i'm fine, i'm just so mad at what that man did to ya." He said
"Hey it's getting late anyway, c'mon we have to go for dinner is ready!"

I nodded and i was about to slide off the big rock we were sitting on, but Cuphead already grabbed my body so i wouldn't fall to the ground making me make a little "eek" sound.

"Oh golly, i'm so sorry Luna, i didn't wanna scare ya.." he said that while looking embarrassed to the ground.

That warm feeling i've had earlier came back even stronger, making me do something i would never dare to do.

I grabbed his head and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Thanks Cups, for understanding me and my problems, you are truly the sweetest, but please don't tell anyone what i've just said"

He then was as red as his nose was. He nodded quickly and then grabbed my hand so we could walk back to Elder Kettles house.

As we walked back, i noticed how he was looking everywhere to make sure we were safe.
Because that's what friends do, right?..

We were back at the house and dinner was ready on time!

Then Cuppy noticed how tired i was, making her think a bit.

"Maybe if we're allowed to, we can have a sleep over?" Cuppy asked.

Mugman was the first to reply.

"Yeaa!! Sounds great! We can place two mattresses in our room so you guys can also sleep in our room, Right Cuphead?"

He wasn't paying attention until Mugman called his name again.
"Oh! Yea that sounds great! Lets get the matresses ready!"

They all ate their dinner and then all the kids excitedly made themselves ready for the night.

Helloooooo! I smell loveeeeeee!! Who's already excited for the next chapter?!
