DROPPED Pizza Queen's Summer Dream

Chapter 8

"Oh my god B your thumb! It-"
I looked down at the screen and realized my tremendous mistake.

I dropped my phone on the rug. I nestled my face in my arms.
"Uuuuuggghhhhhh!" I groaned into the ground, "ooohhh my goooood!"
Kat wrapped he arm around my shoulder.
"B, it's fine. You guys already met on the weirdest terms, and he was obviously really into you." I lifted my head.
"But...ughhhh!"
"Come on, it's okay. Let's text him," she picked up my phone and typed in my passcode, 1111 (geez B, classic [whatever!])
"Hey, sorry my best friend Kat, who by the way is rad," she read as she typed, "sent that message. I swear I'm not that weird." I nodded my head and she tapped send.
We sat in silence and waited for a response.
A minute passed.
"Yeah, i mean...he's probably just busy...(pshh, yeah busy getting away from you!)" I said. Kat took in a sharp breath and looked away.
"Yup, mhmm that's probably why." I groaned.
Another three minutes passed.
"Okay B you need to stop staring at the screen, I'm pretty sure that's how people's eyes explode." She pressed the off button and set it on the ground. "He'll text you, he's probably busy rescuing kittens from trees and gathering lost elderly people."
I nodded sarcasitacally, "or delivering pizza, all equally important."
Kat put her hand up in the air, "hallelujah, praise be, praise B."
I giggled, "okay now i remember why I'm friends with you," and wrapped my arm around Kat's shoulder.
"What would you do without me." Then my phone buzzed. I leaped forward and picked up my phone. "Wow, I can feel the love B!" Kat said, slowly inching her way to where i laid on the rug. She glanced over my shoulder to read.
(Laugh-cry emoji) really? The cats meow? I'm flattered
I couldn't help but grin. I'd honestly thought I'd scared him off, but i guess knowing he has a sense of humor is even better. My phone buzzed again.
"Oooh two texts in a row! Things are getting se-ri-ous!" Kat said and gently nudged my arm.
So I'll go ahead it's a yes to go out tomorrow?
My smile scratched across my face and butterflies started to flutter in my stomach.
I suppose so. See ya...sexy face

OK SO I FINALLY UPDATED
I'm soooo sorry i said i would update like 3 months ago and i haven't...hopefully i will be able to update more regularly but i can't make any promises! Ive been super busy but I'll try to set aside time for writing.
Sorry the chapters are still super short and the story is so slow right now, ill try to pick things up. And also maybe write on something other than my phone.
