(Laugh-cry emoji) really? The cats meow? I'm flattered
I couldn't help but grin. I'd honestly thought I'd scared him off, but i guess knowing he has a sense of humor is even better. My phone buzzed again.
"Oooh two texts in a row! Things are getting se-ri-ous!" Kat said and gently nudged my arm.
So I'll go ahead it's a yes to go out tomorrow?
My smile scratched across my face and butterflies started to flutter in my stomach.
I suppose so. See ya...sexy faceI stood outside the well lit building downtown. He'd better show up...I hope he does (Ha, don't get your hopes up B!). I kept rocking my legs and tucking my hair behind my ear, impatiently glancing at the street and my watch. Why did Kat have to drop me off so early?7:55. Why isn't he early!? I sighed, maybe I shouldn't have agreed, I mean it's not like this is going anywhere, he just found my phone and also happened to be the pizza delivery guy with a really, really, really nice face. That's all.
Right before convincing my self to leave and indulge myself with the pizza back and Netflix, I saw him attempt to parallel park his car on the street. I was filled with relief, and the same butterflies fluttered about in my stomach.
Oh wait, I don't want it to look like I was waiting forever and just sitting doing nothing but picture his face in my head and imagine conversation topics. I jogged to the side of the street a few yards then casually walked back to the spot I'd been standing at for the past 13 minutes. Oh yeah, super casual and cool B (*smacks head* Geez B...). As I was walking I grabbed the loops in my jeans and awkwardly yanked them up. I'd avoided doing laundry so long I didn't have a clean pair, so I had to borrow a pair of Kat's, who, contrary to myself, has a butt. Suave entrance, properly adjusted pants, I'm so ready for this. Except for the fact that Tristan still wasn't there. OH GOD HE SAW ME PULL UP MY PANTS AND I SCARED HIM OFF (glad you finally accepted how weird it is hun). I walked down to the street and looked for his car. He was still trying to park, and a long line had accumulated on both sides of him. I laughed to myself, he sure knows how to get a girls attention.
I ran across the street to his car, my pants, in turn, fell down again. I wedged between two minivans and knocked on the driver side window. He looked flustered, but looked up and smiled. The door swung open and he jumped out.
"Take the wheel B!" He ran around the front and hopped in the passenger seat. I didn't have time to think with the orchestra of car horns going of and got in. "How do you feel about going somewhere I haven't ruined everyone's evening?" He blustered. I nodded, and took the car out of park and drove off. After we got away from the people who were probably seconds away of ramming his car.
"So," I giggled, "how's your evening been?" He laughed and brushed his hand through his hair.
"It just got so much better," he turned and looked at me. I blushed and focused on the road again. "Anyways," he asked, "where are we going?" I signaled left and turned.
"Uhhh...my place I guess, if you don't mind?" I stammered.
"Oh really," he hinted, "just on the first date?" I gently punched his arm, and glanced his way.
"Unless you have other ideas," I retorted. "I mean, I'm sure there's a nice DMV open we could go to..."
"Know what, chilling at your house sounds great." I could feel him looking at me, but felt that if I looked at him again I'd melt.
"Perfect, we're here." I replied as I pulled into the driveway.
Crap, I hope its kinda clean...(DON'T MESS THIS UP FOR US B!)
