The sky people are the weirdest.
They have two commanders. Lincoln and I came and sat in a tree observing the them and a guy who is commanding all these humans is down right crazy.
He was ordering them to take off these bracelet-type thing from their wrists in exchange for food. I looked over to Lincoln and he gave me a look, probably thinking the same as I am.
Yesterday, the two commanders and a couple of others went and saved the poor boy my people shot. Not that I had sympathy for him. The blonde girl almost fell in one of the traps but the second commander had saved her. I watched from afar to make sure they got the boy out safely. That was until a black feline attacked them. I stared in awe when the feline was down in a matter a seconds followed by a loud sound. A gun that looked similar to the Mountain Men's. That was all I saw before I ran back to the village.
Now, the blonde girl walks out of their ship and I see her talking to the commander guy- whose name I haven't figured out yet. The blonde girl's name is Clarke as I overheard. I watch as the two go in a corner far from the fire and start with what looks like a heated argument.
"I'm going to go wash up in the lake, do you need anything when I come back?" I turn to Lincoln as he pulls out his journal. He stares out to the camp, and my gaze follows his to a girl with long dark drown hair and green eyes. I stare back at him, "Lincoln..."
"Don't you have somewhere to be." His eyes concentrated on the girl. I know this isn't a topic to discuss so I jump to the ground and give a slight wave to him. "Ass"
I stalk off towards the waterfall with my bow and arrow in hand. Jumping from tree stump to tree stump. While on the way I pick up a pink amaryllis and place it behind my ear.
It's dawn, just a little before it becomes moonlight. The waterfall comes into view and I quickly strip to only my under garments and place them on a rock along with my bow and arrow. The moment I walk into the water and stop just above my chin I relax immediately. I place the flower that I put behind my ear next to my clothes and bow. Relaxing and swimming to the sound of the birds musically chirping to eachother.
The crunch of leaves brings me back to reality, quickly swimming to my bow.
"wie is daar-who is there" I point my bow to where I think I heard the sound. The sound of the birds had died and there was nothing but silence. I quietly but quickly walked out of the water and quickly put my clothes on. I became still when I heard the crunch again on my right, I swung my bow to the spot and shot. I heard a groan, and I was walking backwards with my bow still in hand concentrated on the spot where I shot.I heard motion in the spot and not even a second later someone jumped towards me. My bow was knocked out of my hands and I was slammed to the ground. Sitting on top of me in a choke hold, I looked into the eyes of my attacker. He was familiar because I had seen him for a couple of days now, forcing his people to take off those bracelets off their wrists. Not too long ago did I see him in an argument with Clarke.
I was staring into the eyes of the second commander. My eyes widen at the realization and elbow the boy in the jaw enough for him to balance off me. I quickly stood up grabbing the small knife from my boot at the exact time the boy stood up with his knife pointing at me.
The moon was now out and I could imagine my face red and cold from the night cool air.
"What are you doing here," the boy says knife still in my face. We were both frozen in spot ready to attack with knives pointed at each other.
Did he really just ask that. You are in my territory you twat. "Dumb boy" I whispered.
"Wie is jy-who are you" I don't want him to know that we can also speak his language so I speak my own.
"I have no idea what you're saying, where are the others?" he glances at my bow on the ground. I could have striked at him the moment he looked down, but I didn't have the courage to. His black hair fell to his forehead and his clothes were covered in dirt. He also came down here to wash up. Blood covered his face and I think I caught a glimpse of freckles.
Blood was seeping from a hole in his jacket. I looked down to his arm and he followed my gaze. I lowered my knife and took a step forward. I hate seeing blood. I hate seeing people hurt. But he was not one of my people. Do not show mercy Amethyst.
The boys eyes widen and his knife was pointed to my throat and I froze. The sound of more leaves crunching got his attention.
"Bellamy?" I heard from afar. "Over here" the boy said.As he was occupied with the noise, I quietly backed away and grabbed my bow from the ground and ran as quickly and quietly out of view. When I was far away from him-Bellamy I hid and peeked over to where I left him. He stared off into the distance, it seemed as if he was looking right at me, but I was hidden behind a hill.
I saw him put his knife in his belt and turned toward a girl.
"Why are you out here in the dark," asked the girl. "It's not safe to be alone at night"
"Just wanted to get a quick wash" he says clamping the girl on the shoulder. "C'mon lets go back to the camp" They both walk out of view not before he glances back to where I disappeared.
He left with the girl Lincoln was eyeing earlier. He had the opportunity to slice my throat when I was the idiot who lowered my knife because he had a cut from my arrow. I showed mercy. I had the urge to fix the cut. I could've died because I showed weakness. Lincoln would not be proud if he was here.
But Bellamy. He didn't tell that girl. He kept it to himself. And hopefully it stays that way. If my father, Lincoln or my commander knew about this, they would slice me into pieces. And I wish I were joking.
This was a secret that cannot be told.
