After History I had Computer Science and Jacob was there too, and by the time we got to lunch after Wellness (with him too!), I was beginning to get suspicious.
"So, are you a new student?" I asked him while we waited in line for our lunch.
"Yup"
"Then you haven't had our school's pasta! It's not heavenly but I'd rather eat it than anything else at this school."
"Sounds like it must be worth my time then." He said with a wink. He kept looking around like he was scared of being seen with me. I'm starting to think he's not listening to me.
"Did you know Bob the lion gave Darla a rose that she ate in a tree."
"Oh really," He said, yeah definitely not paying attention. I stood and stared at him until he ran into me because he thought the line was moving again. "Sorry,"
"You're not paying attention to what I'm saying, I'm trying to talk to you and you keep looking around like you are the #1 FBI most wanted man..." I keep scolding him while he tenses up, his gaze locked on something behind my shoulder.
"I thought you were supposed to be my 'new best friend', and here you are ign-" He gently places his finger on my lips, effectively shutting me up. He gently tugs on my shirt until I shift behind him. I finally see what he's looking at. Trevor, Eric, and Ethan, all shooting daggers at him. The line shifts forward after a century and I take the opportunity to shove Jacob into the kitchen. He obliges but picks me up and sets me down in front of him.
His breath is warm on my neck as he whispers, "They just cut the line to be behind us. Please sneak out with your lunch and meet me at the library."
I nod lightly to let him know I understand and order my food.
I make it to the library and find a study desk to sit in. If that trio comes in, they won't see me right away. A hand on my shoulder scares me, I look up to see Jacob standing behind me scanning the library to make sure they didn't follow us. I yanked his hand, pulling him down to my level.
"If you keep standing they will see you over the dividers, sit down!" I whisper-yelled in his ear. He sat beside me and held my hand. He opened his mouth to say something and I quickly covered his mouth with my hand. "Wait. You said we could talk about this over lunch, I want to still talk about it but I w-want to work on this issue slowly. I've b-been reporting them but it keeps f-falling on deaf ears, and I-I-"
I didn't realize I was crying until he wiped a tear off my cheek, my hand slowly fell from his mouth. "Hey it's fine, time won't change the severity of their behavior. We can work on painting a clear picture for the stupid administration. Let's do something else. Let's play..." He pauses, trying to think of something we could do. Then an imaginary light bulb appeared above his head as he smirked at me. "Let's play Truth or Dare."
I rolled my eyes. "Fine, you go first. Truth or Dare?"
"Truth,"
"Are you stalking me, or did you magically get in every one of my classes?" I said, smirking back at this trouble maker.
"False, it's only 3 classes so far, how would I be in ever-"
I lifted my hand revealing his schedule that I snatched out of his pocket.
"How did you-" He sighs, rubbing the back of his neck and looking everywhere but my eyes. "I might have bribed Mr. Abbott, so that I could be in all of your classes so I could protect you from the trio of doom. Why did you sign up for AP Comp Sci!?!"
My jaw dropped and a smile crept on my face. "You didn't need to do that."
"Too late! Also Truth or Dare?"
