When Jake and I walked into school as an official couple, I was shocked at how many people took personal offense to it. We strolled through the halls with our fingers intertwined and I could see at least three half naked girls giving me a deadly glare. I flipped them the finger behind my back so Jacob wouldn't see it. He was a little distracted anyways. His head was on a 180 degree swivel, trying to spot one of the boys.
We turned a corner and I saw Trevor glaring at our conjoined hands from his locker. His gaze shifted to my eyes and he gave me a half assed look of concern. I ignored him and pecked Jake's cheek. He smiled and looked down at me.
"What do you have after school today?"
"Uh... Oh! I have a leadership meeting for robotics, and a Scout meeting."
Jake pulled me out of the traffic so we could chat against the wall. He gave me a look, and I knew what he was going to ask.
"Is he going to be there?"
Trevor is on robotics with me, he is the Programming lead.
"No, as usual he has some sort of 'appointment'." Jake chuckled but we kept walking. We got to our class and I set my bag at my seat. I turned around to put my phone on the wall, but was met with his chest and perfect abs. He wrapped his arms around my waist to keep me close and crashed his lips on mine. I tried to push him off but I couldn't bring myself to do it. He bit my lip and gently sucked on it. He licked the inside of my cheeks.
"Mr. Richarlin, and Ms. Terolb! Please do that somewhere else!" Gin's voice broke through my trance. I pulled away and shuffled past him flustered. When I returned he was smirking.
"You just love to embarrass me don't you!" I whisper-yelled. He ignored me. "You're such a poop."
His hand met my bare knee. I was wearing a light blue knee-length dress with a cropped white cardigan. Jake moved back to his apartment last week but he still set out clothes for me every night. I looked over to see him with a stoic expression as he focused on Gin's lecture. I was talking with Becky yesterday and she said that Jacob never smiles around her or Patrick when I'm not there. I think they are overreacting. He's always smiling around me. Oh wait. That strengthens her argument.
I gently traced U OK? on his thigh and he immediately turned to look at me and whispered. "Yup. Just tired." He gave me a cheeky grin and I tried to return it. He chuckled and turned his attention back to the board.
I zoned out and leaned back in my chair. Gin was talking to us about the Crucible and everyone was basically sleeping. Jake grabbed my wrist and pinned it against the desk. I frowned at him until I realized why. I was subconsciously picking at my scabs again. Most of them were never injuries, just me scratching.
He pulled a wet wipe out of his bag and cleaned the blood from under my fingernails, he cleaned my arm and gave me a playful glare. I blushed and looked down. "Sorry."
He kissed my cheek and turned his attention to Gin who was yapping about chicken blood. His fingers intertwined with mine and he pulled our hands to his lap. I smiled.
He makes me so nervous. I always try to look confident in front of him, but he makes me so shy. He traced my knuckles, and I swear, I was going to melt into my chair. I hope he doesn't notice how sweaty I am.
When Eric and Ethan came back to school, they were both sporting dark purple bruises all over their heads. Jake is so nice to me, if I didn't witness it, I wouldn't have thought it was him. Yes, he's strong but I wouldn't expect him, or really anyone, to get in a fight... for me?
"If you keep staring, you might burn a hole in my cheek." I blushed and looked away. I didn't even realize I was gawking at him. He smiled and kissed my temple. "Always good to know someone thinks I'm hot."
