Chapter 1
"You sing amazing." My crush Rain said to me, "You have true talent."
"Thanks" I said. I smiled.
"I love a boy that could sing." Rain said to me.
I blushed.
"Oh! You're blushing!" she screamed.
"No I'm not!" I lied.
"Then why are you red in the cheeks?" She said cutely. Is cutely a word? I don't care, It was the best word to describe it.
"It's um hot outside." I said hoping that she believed me.
"Sure." she said, "So, Mike are you going to try out for X Factor?"
"Well, I dont know..." I said hesitantely.
"Oh come on! You have true talent! Besides look at Carly Rose Sonenclar. She's 13 too and she made 2nd place! I think you could win!" Rain said excitedly.
I was never confident in my singing. I never really sang publicly. I just sing in front of people who I feel comfortable with. Rain made me feel more than comfortable.
"Fine, I'll try out. Just for you!" I said.
"Yay!" she kissed me on the cheek, "Don't forget about me when you get famous, okay?" She said smiling
"Never."
