"Hey, Madame!" Polnareff called put

"She's not behind the counter, either." I said as he walked to me

"Oh Madame, are you here?" Polnareff said through the door

"We heard some kind of crash." I said standing next to him and he waltzed in me in follow

"I'm coming in, Madame." He warned

"Ow, ow, ow, ow..." She repeated

"Oh no, what happened?" I asked sarcastically

"Oh, it's nothing. Only a tiny fall.
Just bruised my hip a bit." She chuckled awkwardly

"You fell? You can't be falling now. And you burned your left hand, too." Pol said shaking his head

"You're being much, much too careless." I said with a fake pout, she glared at me

"Oh, thank you, dear boy. I'm fine. It's nothing." She talked with Polnareff

"No problem, I promise." I can't help but smile. He is too sweet

"There we go...Here's your cane." He handed it over

"What's wrong? You're sweating bullets." I asked looking at her up and down

"It's nothing. Don't worry about me. Just go to your rooms and get some rest." She waved her hand dismissively

"Well, if you insist." I shrugged and started to walk out

"But are you running this hotel
all by yourself?" Polnareff asked

"Don't you have some family around?
Like a son?" I leaned against the door picking my nails

She said in a slight panic,"I've gotten used to living alone."

"I see...Sounds lonely to me." Pol said sadly

"Just think, life with a son and daughter-in-law... Your grandkids could run around and play in the lobby." I said as I watched her, slowly fume

"It'd be a little noisy, but...that's what makes families great!" Pol added clapping his hands

"Hey, what's the matter?" I asked

"Did he move to the big city or something?" Polnareff said concerned

"No. He passed away." She gritted through her teeth

"Oh, I'm so sorry. How terribly insensitive of me..." he said with a frown

"Please, sit down and rest.I'll give you a nice back rub."

"I know how it feels to be alone. I lost my mom when I was still just a kid." Polnareff said Then he smiled my way and I returned it

"Tonight, just think of me
as if I'm your own beloved son..." even though I didn't like the old hag and I know Polnareff wanted to be sweet...he seems like an ass for saying that (just me?)

"Ask me for anything, all right?" He smiled softly
