With an inviting, yet unsettling tone, Monokuma asked me to take a seat, but I refused, this wasn't the type of conversation you have sitting down. Of course, since Monokuma had nothing to worry about, he just continued.
He then started talking about the topic at hand, the rules of this dreadful killing game. He spoke in such a nonchalant tone, that it made me sick.
Monokuma: Aaalrighty! Now let's get you informed on all of the rules and details of this amazing killing game! I bet you're so exciteeeed! So let's just jump into it! So this is how it works, all of you are trapped inside this academy, and the only way to leave is to murder someone and get away with it, after a murder has taken place, you'll be given time to investigate the murder and then...we will have the final battle between the blackened and the spotless! A Class Trial!
Monokuma: All of you will discuss using the evidence you have of the crime to try and figure out who the blackened is! Get it right, and only the blackened, alone, will be punished. But if you get it wrong...the spotless students will all be punished, and the blackened may leave the academy and live happily ever after! You must be getting your panties in a twist wondering what I mean by "punishment", and it's exactly what you're thinking! It's execution!
Monokuma: Now we will go over some of the details, firstly, to prevent water waste, water will stop being transmitted to the building at nighttime, so you better save up water during the day just in case! Also, since this is a school like any other, once everyone is finished talking to your beautiful headmaster, I advise all of you to discuss who will be in charge of Cleaning Duty, during this week, and of course, during the other weeks as well. And...oh yeah! I almost forgot! Since you're a boy, I have placed a toolkit inside the drawer of your bed table! So if you're feeling in the mood for a quick kill, you already know where to look!
Monokuma: Anyway! In case two victims are ever discovered, and the victims aren't killed by the same person, after all of you are done discussing, you will be allowed to vote two times, however, this is something you must agree beforehand, once the class agrees that there are two killers, there's no changing that decision! And if it turns out that there aren't, in reality, two killers, you can pretty much say the fate of all of you is sealed, the best you can do is drag the blackened along with you. But if you make the right decision, here are the possibilities of what can happen! if you get only one of the blackened right, they and the spotless will be executed, but the one who didn't get caught may leave the Academy. If the spotless guess the killers correctly, let's just say I'll kill two birds with one stone. Oh, and also, a person is entitled to only two kills. If someone dares to kill a third person, they will be executed posthaste!
Monokuma: Additionally...if the victim of a murder ever gets to be a mystery...you'll discuss who the real victim is, and once you're all decided, you may guess if person A or person B is the victim! Guess incorrectly, and the person who's alive and part of the mystery will be erased for your mistake! And well, you'll have to continue the Class Trial without them.
Monokuma: But do not fret! All of the rules of the killing game, and the academy, in general, are all in your e-handbook just in case you forget. Any questions for your beloved headmaster? I am not allowed to kill or intervene in any way in what happens with the student body so...even if I feel like killing you after asking a dumb question, I will have to hold it back.
At this point I couldn't stand listening to all of this, a killing game...having to kill others for your own gain, there's no way I am complying with this, no matter what happens, I won't fall down to this despair, I won't kill my friends. And so, in a very serious and challenging tone, I decided to give peace of mind to Monokuma.
Makoto Naegi: All of these rules are pointless you know that? I will never kill anyone! I will make sure you pay for this! We will figure you out!
Makoto's words didn't scare Monokuma, he knew he was in control of the situation, besides, what would the Ultimate Lucky Student ever do? Not even a talent Makoto had.
