I walked up to Samantha's door, I was so nervous. I must've done this a million times, but I never felt like this. She opened the door, shit she was gorgeous. She was only wearing jeans and a T-shirt but she looked way better than any other girl I've gone out with.
"Ready to go?" I asked.
"Yea lets go!" She's smiled then started walking to my car. I ran up and opened it, "here m'lady," what did I just say?! God I'm an idiot, she just giggled and got in the passenger seat.
"So where are we going?" She asked me. I always have the same first date planned for every girl I go out with. I pick them up at 7, a simple dinner, then a movie. But I had a special day planned. First, we were going to go to this local restaurant for lunch.
"It's a surprise," I winked and she started to beg me to tell her, God she's adorable.
When we got to the restaurant she started to smile, "what?" I asked her.
"I love this place! I have so many memories here..." She started to drift off, the smile faded.
"Tell me," I said as we found a table and sat down.
"Well ever since I was little my dad brought me here, it was a regular thing for us," she was choking on her words, and her eyes started to water.
"Do you guys not come here anymore?" I asked her.
"No uh," her eyes started watering a little more, "my dad died a couple years ago...."
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... You know," I looked at her apologetically, "I didn't mean to bring up bad memories."
"No it's fine," she practically whispered.
The waitress came over and we took our orders, then someone announced karaoke.
"I love karaoke!!" She squealed and clapped her hands. "C'mon we have to go up!!" She begged me.
"Oh no, I don't sing," I told her.
"Pleaseeee we have to!" She was so adorable, and something told me her sudden mood meant I had to.
"Ok ok one song," I regretted this already.
She grabbed my hand and ran up to the stage. We chose the song Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus. The song started and I had already messed up, she laughed and started to sing, her voice was amazing. I decided I was just messing her up so I sat at a table close to the stage. By the end of the song everyone was standing up cheering, she really was incredible.
