(Warning do not read if you can't handle needles or blood.)

This was a special occasion. You see, my grandfather only visits on holidays or birthdays. Today,  he surprised me by coming into the house unannounced. He looked around, almost like he was searching for something. I was a child not capable of seeing danger in front of me. I hugged him, excited to see my family but he was distracted so he didn't hug back. When I released him, he then told me "We were going to Dad's workplace to surprise him." Excited, I got into his car and we drove to my father's workplace. Oddly enough, when we parked, I was in the middle of getting my seatbelt off and he stopped me. My grandfather told me to "wait in the car." Confused, I try to ask "Why?" He exits the car before I can. Taking me out of my thoughts of confusion is a knock on the passenger window, my window. A formally dressed person in a pinstripe suit waves at me. Their face is covered by a creepy mask or sack-like hood. I suddenly feel uneasy as the person just stares at me. My grandfather's words echo in my head reminding me to "stay in the car" just to feel safe, I lock my door and the person tilts their head in reaction.  Meanwhile, Grandpa greets someone at the back of the car.  I decided to bide my time by studying the person watching me. Upon closer inspection, the mask looked to be, some stitched-up ragdoll face but the material of the hood itself was like those tweed sacks for potatoes. It looked..off. curiously, I tried to watch the conversation through the back window, watching the social transactions and behaviors. A similar masked person walked to Grandpa and gave him a white pillowcase with something inside, he took whatever was in the pillowcase and handed it back, I never saw what it was as the masked suit blocked my vision, almost like they were trying to keep my attention solely on them. My grandpa had a limp due to a bad foot, but I swear, it was like he was practically walking upright with "pep". The masked people walked away, while he was busy getting back into the car I previously locked. He got in and turned on the engine. I finally got the courage to ask "Grandpa, who were those people? What about Daddy? Are we not surprising him?" He just calmly said "Your fathers busy and we don't wanna disturb him while working do we? We will just surprise him at home!" Silently I nodded and went back to my little world, how carefree and blind I was. My grandfather and I then went back to my father's house and he left me in front of the TV and went into the guest room telling me to "Not disturb him" while he was making an important phone call. I nodded as he closed the door to make his call. Little did he know, I could hear pieces of the conversation on the other side. It wasn't hard to hear my father screaming at Grandpa. I could only hear parts like My father yelling on the phone "Too much!" "Fix it!"  And grandpa shouted back "Chance" "Provide!" "Regret" and then it was quiet. I rush back to the couch acting like I'm watching the cartoon playing. He opens the door and walks out of the room, out of the house. He doesn't even say goodbye as he gets into his car and drives off.

The next day, My father, grandmother, and I went into my grandma's grocery store. My grandma was not happy with my father for some reason...something about supplies and trouble.  My grandma held my hand to make sure I wouldn't wander. We all went into the employees-only locker room and backroom storage. Father was busy looking for something later reluctantly Grandma helped. I decided to sit on top of a big wooden box and wait. After what felt like forever my father yells "Found it!" Out of the corner of my eye, I see it again. The suited ragdoll was behind me watching and waving as another was walking inside the room. They saw the adults had their attention on the contents of the search. One of the masked suits made up its mind to go after me. Me, who was sitting in her own world, a little bubble. My grandma awakes me from my daydream as she yells "NOT MY GRANDBABY!" The one who waved is now behind me and I'm scared to move. I call out "D-Daddy!!" Hoping to get his attention. While seated, I don't see that behind me the suited person lays out a packet of needles each one thicker than the last. My grandmother screams at me telling me to go to her, as my father says "Sit still and comply."  So I sat there trembling and afraid as the suit took each needle and pierced my skin. my flesh was no longer pristine, it's now filled with holes going from small to big. feeling the razor-sharp needles pierce my thighs and arms as I screamed and begged for it to stop. The other suit watching just  made a hand gesture, "Smile." So as best as I could in pain and agony, I smiled for them and asked for another. I hoped it would appease the suits causing me pain. My family just stood there, watching. A little girl's innocent world is shattered.  The stitched-up ragdoll walks towards me as the other continues with their art, piece by piece. Just as they inserted the needles in, slowly he pulled each one out and began to work again on a clean slab of flesh. My thighs, and upper arms were littered with holes of every size. Blood oozing from the exit wounds. With tears in my eyes, I saw the other walk up to me, they held my hands, holding me in place, strangely it was comforting..as the needles began to enter my lower arms, the pain restarted. I felt woozy and my vision went black..

I wake.
