LLAMA DRAMA

ϟ 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘, 𝟏𝟏/𝟐/𝟏𝟐 ϟ

Ellie hadn't seen Adam all day. Not in the morning near her locker or even on the way to her classes like usual. It was out of character for the boy, who normally made any effort to find and be near her.

She tried to distract herself with the negative thoughts roaming her mind as she talked with Bree and Chase about the upcoming dance.

"I'm really hoping they let me decorate it. I-" Bree began to stress to the two, before being cut off by a sudden intrusion.

"Hey! Hansel and Gretel! My niece is visiting from . . . um . . . wherever she lives," Principal Perry shrugged as she approached Bree and Chase, "And I'm gonna assign you two to be chaperones for a couple of days."

Ellie followed Perry's chubby digits to her friends, watching to see their reactions.

"Oh, uh, well, see I can't, cause I gotta be-" Chase started.

"We are so sorry-" Bree began to make up excuses as well.

Both were stopped in their tracks by a demeaning Perry, "Oh, that's so cute! You think you have a choice!"

The woman cackled as Bree responded, "But, why would you want us to show her around? You can't stand us."

"Oh! You've noticed!" the woman laid her thick hands to her heart in sentiment. Ellie rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Look, my niece is sweet and innocent. If she hangs around the cool kids, they'll corrupt her! That's why she's hanging with you two and not Prom Queen over here. If it's uncool, let me spell it out. You're not cool."

She wagged her fingers in the two's faces.

Ellie interjected, "It's Homecoming, and I'm not a senior-"

"Oh, shut it Blondie," Perry cut her off as a young girl walked up to the four.

"Hi, Aunt Terry!" she spoke cheerily as she looked up at the auburn leprechaun with a wide smile.

"Kerry, Darling! This is. . . uh. . . gimme a second. . . Kevinnnnnn. . . Susannnnnn. . ."

"Bree and Chase?" Ellie suggested, looking between her friend's annoyed faces.

Perry just laughed, leaning over in front of her niece and laughing with her, "No one really cares."

"Nice to meet you! I'm Kerry Perry! Thanks for showing me around! I hope it's not too much of a bother!"

Ellie raised an eyebrow suspiciously at the young girl. A nice Perry? Maybe she knew less about her Principal's family than she thought.

"No, no. We are happy to be forced to help," Bree said stiffly, rolling her eyes.

"Great! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm headed to the chem lab to sear off a wart," Perry pointed to her palm, shoving her hand closer to Ellie's face so that she could see.

"Gross!" Ellie gagged, taking a huge step back away from the woman as she went to leave.

"Bye, Aunt Terry!" Kerry called after her Aunt, giggling as she left. Then, her composure changed completely and she rounded on the teens in front of her. "Here's the deal, ladies. I'm skipping school and hitting the mall. And when I get there, I'm gonna plant a dead fly in my burrito and eat for free."

Ellie couldn't help but laugh in shock and the girl's change in mannerisms.

"I'm sorry, but as your chaperone, I --"
