Chapter 7~ Unveiled

"Yeah no I'll be there in half an hour I think. Look they can wait alright?" I hear so I slowly open my eyes and look towards where the sound came from only to see Hailee standing there putting a shirt on

"You were gonna leave without saying bye?" I ask which makes her jump a bit as she turns around "wtf Noah you scared the shit out of me. Don't ever do that again" she says which makes me laugh

"Now... were you gonna leave without saying bye or...?" "I was gonna text you to tell you I needed to go and thank you for the amazing night yesterday"

"We didn't even do anything," I say sarcastically which makes her chuckle as she comes over and hovers over me with her hand on my chest to hold herself up "We don't have to do things to have a fun night you know. Just being around you is more than enough." She whispers before leaning down to kiss me which makes me smile

"I know that was a joke btw. But where are you going?" "I need to go do some work stuff," she says pushing herself back up straight as she walks over to my dresser to grab her sweater "When do I get to know what you're working on?" I ask

"Soon I hope. But for now, I can be mysterious again" she says giving me a wink with a smirk that makes me chuckle "Sure, but trust me I'll have you tell me in no time"

"Try me" "Oh is that a dare?" "I guess it is. Anyway, I really need to go though. I'll talk to you later ok. Have fun doing nothing at home" she says "Thanks. Bye. Have fun at work" I yell as she walks through my apartment

"Thanks. Bye now" she says she nods before I know it I hear my front door close which makes me sigh. I guess they were right, we both don't have time. Suddenly my phone starts to ring.

I grab it from the nightstand and look, only to see it's Hailee who's calling so I pick up with a smile on my face "Miss me already angel?"

"No I'm kinda getting tired of you so I'm calling to break up," she says "Wait are you joking or not?" I say sitting up straight in my bed "Yeah I am Noah. I'm sorry"

"Why? I mean if we moved to days I'm sorry oke. If I did something wrong please tell me so I won't do it again." I say panicking and then I hear her laugh "Oh fuck you, Hailee. Are you out of your fucking mind?!" I say pissed off

"I'm sorry baby I'm sorry. Please forgive me" she says "I don't know. I knew it was a bad choice to date an actress, I should've listened to myself" "Hey come on now it was only a joke. I don't wanna break up. But no I'm calling with a question"

"Fine, what is it?" "You mad aren't you?" "Yeah. Don't I have the right to be pissed off? I mean you call me and tell me in the most serious way you wanna break up, and then you say it's a fucking joke" I say getting out of bed and walking to the kitchen

"I'm sorry, I'll make it up to you okay?" "Sure, now what did you wanna ask?" "So you have a game on Friday, and I was gonna come either way cause my dad is the coach plus the whole family is coming so I have to be there too."

"Just spill it Haiz" "Fine, can I wear your jersey?" "I mean, I don't know at what tempo we're moving but don't you think people will suspect anything?"

"See that's the thing. You're kinda the best player that's alive right now and who's gonna be playing at the game. So nobody will suspect anything cause everyone will be wearing your jersey. But if you don't want me to wear it that's fine you know" she says

"No, you can wear my jersey. Do you have one or should I give you one?" I grab a glass and fill it up with water before chugging it down in one go "I kinda have one already" she says which makes me chuckle

"Oh really? Oke sure, I'll de ruin on Friday then. Have fun at work oke" I say "Thanks. See you on Friday" she says before hanging up.
