ONE
GIRLFRIENDMichael needed a date for his sisters weeding ASAP.
but there was a slight problem. he had considered just going with his friends, because why not? but sadly, all of his friends had dates.
meaning he would be the only one without a date. not that it really mattered, but to him it did. he was always teased growing up about his look and was always constantly told that he would never get a girlfriend.
he would be alone.
or so he thought.
he tried going on dates before in the past when he was still a teenager but they never really worked out.
some of the girls were too cocky, or they instantly got too comfy.
he debated on getting some sort of dating app or even going on a dating show. sure, he needed a date. but not this bad
if worse came to worse he would gladly go alone, but then it would be awkward.
he kept going back and forth on it, he felt like he needed a date, another part of him felt like he didn't need one that bad.
he decided to just not worry about it, he'll go alone. he didn't plan on telling anyone he was going alone, he felt that would be...not fun.
his family is super judgmental, his dad always making fun of him for not having a girlfriend.
his younger sister saying he'll never get one.
blah blah blah.
tonight they were having a family dinner, fun, right?
he was nervous to say the least, he knew some way some how his family would try to bring up his relationship in some way.
all he can hope is that they don't bring it up.

well, here he goes. mike is currently standing in front of his parents house.
to say he felt nervous was an understatement. he tried to fix up a nice outfit, wearing a black tuxedo with black shoes, his hair was still messy, it was hard to contain.
he tried to build up the courage to go in but instead he began to rock back and forth on his heel and toes.
damn, he was nervous.
i mean, with a family like this, he had every right to be nervous.
ever since he turned eighteen karen would ask him the same question."michael, when am i gonna be a grandma?" he shivered at the thought of her saying that to him again.
ever since nancy's engagement was announced he would tell her, "nancy's getting married you'll be one soon." and she'd always sigh with a worried look on her face. he knew she was worried about him, not because of the whole problem with dating, well... partially.
it was obvious that karen wanted to be a grandmother soon. and it was no doubt she wants grandchildren from both of her children. she always told her kids 'the more the merrier.'
