It was about seven in the morning when Kokia walked toward the front door with Kupua beside her, ready to head off to the true first day of school for herself. "Now, Waiho, make sure everyone is kept mostly in line, 'cause we don't need any more holes to patch up than we have to, alright?" She glanced back at her Pokemon in the front hallway as they all waved goodbye, Nahu doing so half-heartedly.

"Liepard Liep." "Don't worry, I'll keep them on track. Kupua, if those punks do anything super dumb, whack 'em."

"Braix!" "Okay!"

She put a hand on the Braxien's head, ruffling his fur. She shook her head with a serene reply of, "No."

"Oi! Hurry up, Kokia! We won't be able to try your idea of apologizing if we can't swing by Heartslabyul early enough. Don't tell me aliens like you can't tell time—OW! What the hell, you little furball!?!"

Turning their heads, Kokia and Kupua saw that Grim had grabbed onto Ace's collar. Deuce tried to separate the two as Grim bopped Ace on the head with his paws.

"Nryha, Didn't we tell you what happens in Ramshackle stays in Ramshackle, you idiot?!"

Kupua looked at his trainer as they made their way over to the squabbling trio. "Brai?" "Are you sure I can't flame them a bit, Mama?"

"Kupua, no."

Heartslabyul's dorm building reminded her of old-style Galarian castles or manors she had seen on T.V or something from popular video games. The red and black color scheme made the lush greenery and plant life pop and show off the beauty of the dorm. However, everything looked to have such a level of uniformity that it kind of made Kokia think someone had hit the copy-and-paste button to achieve it.

"This place looks like it got inspired by a fantasy book or movie with how whimsical it all is," Kokia said when admiring the scenery, while Grim complained that the Ramshackle dorm looked like a decrypted haunted mansion compared to Heartslabyul. She walked ahead of the trio to look at the gardens and sprawling connected hedge mazes that had entrances everywhere. Stopping at the start of one of the entrances to the maze with numerous trees with scarlet red roses growing, "I didn't know roses could be grown on trees. Must have taken a bunch of people to keep this place looking so orderly, right, Kupua?"

It seemed the Fox Pokemon agreed as he dashed from tree to tree and the other carefully crafted plants and hedges. "Braixen! Bra, Barix!" "We need these for the dump of a dorm, Mama!" Kupua yipped in excitement as he immediately went to his mama with plenty of ideas for a garden that would suit him. "I want them in pink flowers and blue buds with those pretty pale green leaves! I'll need so much of this greenery and other colors to liven up the dorm inside and out."

Watching Kupua run about and talk about gardening for the dorm was a good idea since she still had a bunch of berries inside her travel bag. ("I'll need a supply of berries for the team and myself. It wouldn't be good since it seemed the fruits and foods from this world might not have the same properties as the berries from back home.") She thought while watching some sort of tiny Butterfrees this world had as they fluttered above the rose trees and hedges.

Behind her, the faint pieces of a conversation finally reached her and finally made her realize how far ahead she and Kupua were. Turning around to double back, a voice she didn't recognize seemed to be speaking with the boys. "... or it's off with my head!"

"Huh? Off with your head?" Fuzzy images quickly flashed inside her mind as something about that caused some serious Deja Vu. Turning the corner, she saw an orange-haired boy talking to Ace, Deuce, and Grim.
