BBRRINNNGGG!!!

My alarm clock violently rang to awaken me from my profound dreams.

I was so tired, both from yesterdays events and because I woke up at 11pm. I cautiously got out of bed, my paranoia making me see lingering shadows that loomed over me like mountains.

I sighed and made my way to the bathroom. I should at least get to work early to make up for last time. Thankfully, on Sunday I only worked from 1pm to 5pm which meant I still had a full 2 hours to spare.

I put on my clothes with a smile and concluded that today would indeed, be a great day despite last nights fiasco. Making my way downstairs into my kitchen with an optimistic outlook of the world, my smile immediately diminished because on the fridge was a bright neon post-it-note that read:

'You snore so cutely when you sleep'

My jaw dropped at the disrespect and invasion of my privacy until that shock transformed into fear. This person had watched me embarass myself and go back to sleep unaware of their presence.

My paranoia was deteriorating as I tried to steady my nerves. Who in their right mind would even do something so intrusive?!

I decided to go out and eat to get my mind off of these people. I mean, there was three initials on the note which means there's three, right?

I was oblivious, but not completely.

By the time I had made it upstairs, it was 11:10 which meant I had spent a whole 10 minutes staring at the note in shock. The fluctuation of my moods was seriously starting to affect me.

What was my life coming to??

I hastily changed my clothes into cute, comfy ones that had big and bold text that said:

'HAPPILY DIVORCED!!'

I made my way downstairs and picked up my lilac coloured purse, making sure it contained all the necessities, this time ensuring sure it contained money.

I opened my door and locked it, taking an awfully long amount of time to guarantee it had been properly locked.

No one was coming in, or out.

I brushed off the feeling of being watched once again as the more I seemed to focus on it, the more goosebumps seemed to prick at my skin like needles.

I shuddered to myself and walked along the road, allowing myself to be consumed by the suffocating air.

I knew I couldn't go to the police as they were more focused on more significant crimes like murder, they wouldn't care if an average worker went missing and perhaps the intruders knew that.

How predatory.

The small, gaudy looking flowers did little to sooth my cluttered thoughts. Maybe thats why I didn't realise I bumped into a wall. Except... This wasnt a wall as it began letting out deep, animalistic chuckles.

I gulped.

"Well look who we have here" spoke a mocking voice.

I nervously looked up only to be met with a sight even my nightmares were afraid of because right infront of me, was the very man I proudly humiliated.

Maybe this was karma and my ass was finally going to get bitten, metaphorically of course.

Sensing my worry, the man let out a guttural laugh that somehow suited the wall of a man.
