Third person POV
1998.
"
Can you believe it? Our little girl bites a teacher today! And when she was confronted, she denied it!" Richard Lockwood yells into the phone at his wife while fixing his tie in to mirror.
"Why do you think I'm taking her to this place? You know she's done worse before and will do worse in the future." Carol Lockwood grabs her daughter by the arm, pulling her up into her car. Julia's smile is the equivalent to a million stars at the moment. Her mother puts the phone to Julia's face. "Hi!" Is all she says into it.
"Julia, you better tell the truth. Promise me to always tell the truth." Richard practically yells to his daughter.
"Yes, Daddy. I promise." The six year old giggles at her father raising his voice. Her mother takes the phone away and slams the car door. "I'm going now. It's 50 minutes out of town. Don't tell anyone about this. Where's Tyler?"
"Tyler's at my mother's house. And of course, I wouldn't think of telling anyone. This could ruin our reputation, Carol. A daughter with mental illness. Don't even mention it." Is the last thing Julia's father says to his wife before slaming the phone down on the nearest coffee table, hanging it up.
Carol sighs, taking a deep breath before getting in the car. She looks in the mirror to see her daughter dragging her finger along the window. A frown filled the older woman's face. 'Why would her daughter do this?'
As if it was six years old, little Julia's fault."Where are we going, Mommy? On an adventure?" Little Julia's eyes sparked at the idea of going out on an adventure, with a treasure map and gold and stars.
6 hours later, when Carol and Julia Lockwood got 'home,' Carol shared the news with her husband. Anger Issues. Like she had the plague, they ignored her unless it was mandatory. They never looked at their daughter the same again.

"Hi." A young teenage boys with a grey hoodie welcomed a girl with two French braids in her hair. "I like your hair. it's cute." The boy said sweetly. The girl blushed and thanked him. "Do do wanna go get some ice cream together. I saw a store around the corner, if you wanna." He awkwardly shoots his shot at the girl.
"Now, I mean, there's a session in 10 minutes?" The shy girl stepped up off the old fence wall.
"I mean, they won't miss us. They're only here to get paid." The boy helps her off the wall.
"S-sure, thanks. I'm Julia." The now wonderful teenage girl, Julia, grabbed his hand with thanks. If only she knew what she was getting herself into.
"Nice to meet you, Julia. I'm Joshua." Joshua, the boy with the grey hoodie, shakes Julia's hand. They began to sneak out of the building with ease.
They got their ice cream with the little money that had stolen from his parents.."I've seen you in a few sessions, you know." The newly teenagers picked at their ice creams as they hoped not to get caught by any supervisors at the management place.
"Yeah, my parents make me go even though they know it doesn't help me." She shyly answered, not looking in Joshua's eyes.
"I have the same problem. What if I told you I have a way to help you and me." Julia looks confused but was also yearning for something to make her parents happy again.
