Dear Moon,
You are always changing. As a new side of you shines in the sky each night, I can't help but fall even more for your glow. My eyes transfixed on your face as but a crescent appears in the vast universe. Despite my adoration, I stare as you carve deeper into your forsaken core as more and more of your image is shrouded from my glance each night. It's plain to see you are at war with yourself, my love, as your light is eaten up by the forbading darkness that awaits your demise. My pounding heart screams as I only wish to burn through the veil that hides your eyes, wishing only for you to free yourself from the shadows that taunt you as I sleep. Doused by my own crystalline tears, my sizzling eyes are forced to witness you wither away.
I know it's only a matter of time before you give in to the darkness, let it seep in to your core. While I can only watch helplessly as you suffer, blazing in the heavens in attempts to protect you from the lies they wield to snuff out your light. Although when I thought all was lost, I rejoice at your pale figure waxing among the glittering stars. My body aflame as you finally take your spot among the wonderous galaxies, twinkling in the night where you belong. Even though this cycle is neverending, I'll still wish you sweet dreams as you shine bright once more.
Love,
Your Dreamer
