Instead (Pat/Non) - Behind the Wall

Their journey kept on going. The scenery didn't change much. The trees still lined the road, but it was harder for the sun to shine through the thickening treetops. Nonsee shifted uncomfortably. Being taken by a man he trusted and liked, but not knowing where he was going, was a scary experience. He couldn't even guess their destination. The car slowed significantly and turned to the unpawed road leading further into the forest. Nonsee straightened in his seat, glancing back at the asphalt path disappearing. 

"It's okay. Just a little bit more, and we will be there." Pat squeezed Non's tight assuringly. Nonsee nodded and turned back. He wasn't sure of anything anymore. What if Pat was going to kill him instead of helping him? He practically ran away from his home with a man he barely knew. Non was deep in his thoughts, ignoring how the car rocked on the forest road until the vehicle drove out of the shadows onto the small meadow. 

"We are here." Pat parked in front of a low plank fence and behind another familiar car. Nonsee observed the wooden cottage, hidden by the green branches. The sight was almost magical. 

"Let's go out." Pat smiled at him and climbed out. He quickly ran around and opened the door for him. How could Nonsee think that this handsome man would kill him? He shook his head and joined the doctor. 

"Do you like it, my fairy? I know it's not much, but we will be safe until we solve everything." Pat took his hand, intertwining their fingers. Nonsee nodded, letting the older male bring him to their new house. Nonsee examined every inch of the property, admiring the flowers and the small vegetable garden. He couldn't wait to take care of this small paradise.

They stopped in front of the entrance when the door burst open. 

"P'Non!" His sister's voice echoed through the air. 

"Iris." Nonsee breathed out. His eyes stung with unshed tears. The young girl sprung towards him, almost knocking him down if it weren't for Pat, who managed to support them. 

"Hello, P'Non, P'Pat." Another person joined them. 

"Hi, Wech." Pat greeted the young man. Nonsee nodded at him. He wasn't surprised to see his sister's boyfriend. However, he will need a proper explanation.
