It has only been about a month since Owen and I moved in together. Owen had learned to except the baby.
I was sitting on our loveseat, watching the news while Owen got ready for school. The strange morning sickness taste was still in my mouth. Since I got pregnant the teacher has given me the seven months off. Since our senior year was a whole year, and we were only in the first month, she thought it seemed legit.
"Misty? Are you gonna need anything?" Owen asked. I went over my kitchen list, realizing my answer. "No, I'm fine" I said. Owen ran down the stairs, and smiled. "Okay, love you Mist" he said kissing the top of my head. "Love you Owen" I replied as he bent down and hugged me.
He closed the door and I heard his car start. The engien sounds got quieter and quieter. Then I waited 3... 2... 1... My phone rang. "You sure you dont need anything?" He asked. "I'm positive" I said and hung up.
I stood up, still a little dizzy, and walked to the fridge, grabbing a root beer, and string cheese. The basic pregnancy diet.
The rest of my day, consisted of aches and quiet, and even more root beer and string cheese.
After Owen got home from school, we sat down in the livingroom talking about things. Random things that younger kids wouldnt want to talk about.
And at the last moments of our day, before we were knocked out cold in our bed. We would stand out on our balcony, and watch the.city lights of Vegas dance.
Then we went to sleep, and the same thing happened again the next day, and the next until Saturday.
