While Cleo was getting ready to go out with Samir, the whole time she spent thinking about last night with Gunner.

Her mom didn't have a clue which was a good thing, but Cleo also knew there probably wouldn't be an opportunity to do something like that again, and even if there was, she probably wouldn't get lucky like last night.

And on top of that, sneaking out again wasn't anything she was thinking of doing any time soon, it was too much stress and not worth it.

"When's Samir gonna be here? I wanna meet him" Cleo's mom said smiling at her from her doorframe, watching her do her hair.

"He said he'll be here in thirty minutes, and it's not a date we're just hanging out"

"I don't know why you think him and those other boys you have been out with before were inviting you places just to 'hang out'. It's obviously a date, he's just too afraid to be bold about it"

"Mom- Just stop, go away"

"Just saying, and make sure your room's put together before you leave. Your aunt's coming over and may put your cousin down in here for a nap"

"Mhm" Her mom left closing the door behind her, right then her text notifications went off.

"Better not be him cause i'm not ready yet" She mumbled, but it wasn't. It was just Gunner like always
