SHINSOU POV:

We were alone, and after all that I just witnessed I'm glad they're with us

Their life seemed like hell, I want to keep him safe

"Hey Ray," I pondered something waiting for a response

"Hm?" He questioned warily

"Do you have a quirk?"

He sighed "Yeah I do I just don't really use it, it's kind of 'villainy' if that makes sense"

"I get told that a lot too" I gave him a soft smile "what's your quirk then?"

"My quirk is 'mind reading' it's basically just where I can read minds, wow surprising I know."

They chuckled

"it's kind of interesting because when I was a kid I made the mistake of accidentally reading people's minds and it was hell. The bad thing is a lot of people fear me because I have the ability to know so much and could use it against them, hence why I guess I can seem like a villain."

"I'm sorry you dislike your quirk but I think that's actually really cool! Me personally, my quirk is 'brainwash' and it's as it seems, I can brainwash people, but only after they verbally respond to me. So trust me I can understand being seen as a villain just because of your quirk."

I smiled at him

"you could definitely become a hero one day if you chose so, it would be helpful when fighting villains to know what their next move might be."

"Your quirk seems so cool too! It's nice to meet someone who understands me though" they smiled sadly and then yawned, it was pretty late, I wonder if he's tired

"You tired?"

He nodded

"You can go to sleep, I'll be sure not to bother you much"

They looked down fearfully

"I promise I won't hurt you, none of us will, you're safe with us, I promise"

And to that Ray slowly drifted off to sleep

TIME SKIP (NEXT MORNING)

AIZAWA POV:

Throughout the night I checked on Ray probably every hour, just to make sure he was alright.

Bad thing is I was supposed to have work the next morning since it was Tuesday, right now I am staring at my clock at 4 am because I can't go back to sleep.

I ended up just shrugging it off and started to clean the house, atleast I was being productive.

After around 20 minutes of cleaning I heard commotion upstairs so I went to check making sure everything was alright

It was very much not

What was happening was Ray was crying in their sleep, so I went over and walked to him making sure they were safe.

"Shh shh it's okay Ray, you're okay. I won't go" I soothed "you're going to be okay"

I made sure not to touch them since they were still asleep and that could trigger him but I just continued to whisper to him about comforting things, this reminds me of Hitoshi when he first came to us

Scared and closed off, I knew he was hurting and it pained me, jeez I just wanted this kid to be alright.

It was 30 minutes later of me staying by his side till they actually woke up

"Hey kid," I gave them a sad smile

"Hey" he said with a wispy and tired voice "what's happened?"

"You looked like you were having a nightmare, actually, you were. You were crying in your sleep so I've just been over here making sure you're safe" I smiled at him

"Oh, sorry-" I cut him off before he could say more

"No need to apologize I was already up. Are you alright now?"

They stayed quiet for a while and gave a shaky "yeah.."

I could tell he wasn't alright "mind if I stay with you for a bit?"

They nodded

"Do you have school kiddo?"

They froze and I could see the panic on his face "Never mind scratch that, I don't know if it's best for you to go back there yet"

They calmed down a bit "We still need to figure out a place for you to stay, I think I'm going to talk to Zashi about that today. I'll see if I can take the day off" I smiled at them

"You don't have to."

I nodded at him "I know I don't have to but I want to"

I looked at the clock realizing it was 5:20 "Hizashi is going to get up soon and so will Shinsou, would you want me to see if Shinsou can stay here with us too?"

They nodded hesitantly and responded with "if its not too much of an issue"

I smiled "I'll ask him but I'm sure it's not"

"You gonna be okay for a little bit if I go talk with Hizashi?"

They nodded

"Alright just get me if you need anything please."

And with that I went down to wake up Zashi

HIZASHI POV:

Shota woke me up

"Hey babe what's up?"

He sat down besides me "Can we talk?"

I nodded now sitting on the side of the bed

"What's up?"

"You know the kid who stayed here last night?"

"Yeah, Ray right?"

He nodded "I just don't really know what to do, he cant go back home, Jesus Mic his arm is fucking broken."

I laid my head on his shoulder feeling him concerned made me realize just how terrible this was

"We will figure something out for them, I know we will"

"I just don't know what to do, I know I said I wouldn't tell you without their permission but it's needed." He sighed "They tried to kill themselves Zashi."

I froze "Oh.."

"Yeah and he is going through so much, I can't let him go back it's just I don't know what to do. Foster care could end up being just as bad if not worse"

I nodded "We should probably get UA involved Shota, but for now we can ask for them to stay with us? It'll be the safest option." 

He nodded "I was thinking the same thing i just didn't know if you'd be okay with it."

"Woww you really do not know me do you?!" I teased "of course I would, but before anything we need to talk to him."

"Yeah I know. I hope he will be okay with it."

I nodded "Yeah."

"I'm staying home today by the way, I should probably call Nezu. I need to keep them safe. I was gonna see if Hitoshi could stay too because I think they got along pretty well yesterday"

I smiled "of course it's okay! I also think Toshi can make them feel less alone too since he can probably understand some of the things they're going through" my tone shifted into a saddened tone at the Hitoshi part.

He nodded "I'm going to go now to wake up Toshi and see what he wants to do"

I smiled "alright I love you"

He pecked me on the cheek and when to wake up our son Hitoshi Shinsou

A/N: i genuinely believe since they are heroes and they work at UA they have more ability to take control over the situation than a regular person. Hence why instead of going to the cops their plan is to talk to Nezu and get UA involved.
